| 74 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 15/20 Diogène (42) Mirabel, Quebec | January 8, 2013 This is a very small store, you won’t find every Québec beer, but contrary to many other stores, they only carry the best micro breweries! Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. One of my favorite beer store in Montréal. | 82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 solidfunk (98) Ontario | November 18, 2012 This place is small but still manages a very decent selection of Quebec micros. They have loads of Dunham, Charlevoix, LTM, DDC, Simple Malt, A la fut, Brasseurs du Temp as well as many others. When I asked, they even pulled a Trou du Diable Imperatrice from the back. Very friendly. Has some cheese and other picnic supplies as well. Cool little place. | 78 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 philippem (13) Montréal, Quebec | August 11, 2011| Updated January 16, 2012 One of my favorite place in Montreal to go buy local beer. The shop is small but they have a pretty diverse choice among their offerings; they get most of the rarities that are released in Quebec and stopped offering most of the dubious brewers’ products (no more Breughel for exemple... but plenty of Multi-Brasses though...). Customer service is pretty good and personalised when you’re being served the two owners, Annie and Sylfranc, which happens less and less since they began their involvement in Brouhaha, a brewpub located not so far from St-Hubert. They also sell glasses, artisanal cheeses and other beer related-stuff. | 92 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 drinkingcoffee (11) Quebec | December 12, 2010| Updated January 16, 2012 I am a bit biased, since I live down the street, but this is one of my favourite beer stores - a very neighbourhood-type place. The owners Annie and Sylfranc are extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and they have a good selection of all the best Quebec beers. It’s very easy to walk out with a good selection of a bit of everything, as they offer discounts on 6, 12 and 24 bottles (mixed selection is fine), with an extra discount on 6+ bottles during the week when the Canadiens are playing ;-)
Also, there are usually free beer and cheese samples on Saturday afternoons . | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 Goldorak (114) Montreal, Quebec | August 28, 2010| Updated January 16, 2012 This is definately a "boutique" Beer store in a very strange location on tacky St-Hubert, where you can get a cheap second-hand wedding dress, latex boots with matching whip and knockoff fashions. But it’s only a block away from Baubien metro, not much of a detour if you’re going to Vices & Versa.
It’s a small store, so selection is limited, but you only find the cream of the crop here, and is likely to have the limited release Beers hidden in the backstore, so don’t hesitate to ask. They seem to have a strict no hoarding policy on these, good for them. Service was friendly and the guy knew his stuff. Cheeses and other interesting pairings were available. This may become my favorite local store. | 84 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 17/20 acomtl (12) Montréal, Quebec | June 20, 2010| Updated January 16, 2012 Un endroit très bien pour débuter votre quête de bières atisanales. | 56 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 10/20 duffbeerfan (8) | March 10, 2010| Updated January 16, 2012 If you are close to Beaubien street, try this small but decent store. They have many kinds of beer, the problem is you can’t take many of them, that constitutes a big problem if you’re a beer lover. But still buy one or two to taste the rustic ambiance. |
