amazing little shop in lyon. many many different styles, from local french micro to hard to find american micro. friendly staff and great metal music on speakers. the only bad thing its the prices. most micro are very expensive....also the lack of space, makes things very uncomfortable

Extremely small bottleshop just beside metro Saxe - Gambetta. The guy who worked there was friendly and seemed knowledgeable about the beer scene in the area and French micros. Selection is small the quality is very high. There’s US stuff (Lost Abbey, The Bruery, Westbrook, AleSmith & others), Belgian beers, De Molen and a couple of others foreign beers as well as some French micros. Prices are really high, even for France, and not only on US stuff, but also on French micros. Prices were even a lot higher than in most Paris good beer stores... so I left empty handed. A nice place for a european beer geek tasting groupe, but probably not one that I would use as a regular customer because of the prices.

No backpack, no dogs*, and above all no dogs with backpack otherwise Cyril -the Boss - would kill you. (*Only the bulldog of Sylak festival is accepted)
Actually, it is a very small beershop in such a way that you don’t have not so much room to move and risk to break bottles at every corner.
The service is delivered by a true beer lover with true metal music as soundtrack, that’s just a perfect place for a headbanger who loves beers.
Regular new beers arrivals, price a bit high on average, but it’s because of the very high average quality.
Have a quick look at their range: Flying Dog, Brewdog, De Molen, Mikkeller, Anchor, Saint Bernardus, Portbrewing, Nogne, De Dolle, Great Divide, Cigar City, BFM, Dieu du Ciel and many more, up to > 300 beers with regular turnovers ! ! ! ! ! !
Close to the Metro.
NB: the Bar will open very soon (in a few days/weeks), in Lyon 5th district on the Soane River " Les Fleurs du Malt - La mise en bière".
This is GREAT news ! ! !

Small little bottle shop that I visited in late August 2012. Lots of very good Belgians that I was looking for. Also a bunch of French micros that I knew nothing about, but took a chance on. The only Westy12 they had was in a very expensive 6 bottle gift pack that I couldn’t take home. Guy working there spoke great English, very helpful. It was a little disconcerting that very loud heavy metal was playing while we were shopping, but it was a good experience nonetheless.

Le meilleur distributeur de bière de la région Lyonnaise avec une séléction hyper pointue. Un lieu grand comme une boite à chaussure, mais un choix et une qualité énorme.

Tiny bottle shop full with beers. Could barely walk around the 10 square meters without tipping bottles from the shelves. Friendly bloke(not the owner) in the shop was very helpful. Not a great selection of French micros but enough to satisfy my thirst to start with. Plenty of foreign beers available though. A bit pricy! Definately worth a visit.

Excellent tiny shop crammed wall to wall (and floor to ceiling) with bottles of beer ranging from average to superb; Mikkeler, Cigar City, Brewdog, Struise, plenty of local French micros, it’s got the lot. The owner loves his beer, speaks good English, and has plans to open a beer bar in the city... here’s hoping! A fantastic little goldmine and an essential visit for some great brews.
