Good food, Decent beer selection and a great lunch place on 8th Ave. I go here about 2 times a week for lunch and a great place to relax after work on a friday.

Awesome bartender, by far the best I have met in Calgary. With all the failings of this bar, I would go for him and the service he provides. Not a large selection but a good one, some decent IPA’s on tap. The food was horrible and overpriced. The chef concocted a great sounding menu that he could not deliver on.

I was surprised to find such a nice place with a *fine* wait staff, excellent pub fare, decent beer selection, in downtown Calgary, but not listed in either RateBeer or BeerAdvocate. Definitely on my list. I had a Wild Boar Burger with a side salad; both were excellent. The salad was made with fresh greens and served with a dressing I’d never heard of but tasted great. My buddy had a flat bread offering that was reminiscent of pizza and quite good. We started the beer with a sort of sampler-flight of three 8 oz drafts. The beer was fresh and of good quality. The Libertine Freedom Dry Hopped IPA satisfied my hop-headedness and paired well with the food.
