Absolutely have to rate this one top notch just because its the absolute closest liquor store that carries my beloved Stone products...as well as other numerous wisconsin, indiana, ohio, etc. brews. They are higher priced, definitely, but what can I do...I live in Illinois and want beers I cannot get here yet. The selection is very good, the service is good, friendly, and its right off the highway.

I am a big fan of this place. Living in Chicago it has a lot of the beers I donít have access to (Bellís, Stone, etc.) The prices are a little on the high side, but what are you going to do. If you buy a lot of beer or the guy recognizes you, usually he will throw in a couple of bottles...10 for service! Very knowledgeable as well. I usually hit up this place whenever I go to FFF.

Just a short drive from 3F brewery and worth the stop. Huge selection - if 3F doesnít have a beer, check here. Large variety of local and international beers. As others have said - no Sunday sales in Indiana - at least they donít have restrictions on alcohol percentage like in the south.

This place is definitely one of the best liquor stores in NW Indiana, if micro brew and craft beer is your thing. And considering I live about 15 minutes away from this place...I am truly blessed! :)
Oh, to the ones complaining that itís closed on Sundays: ITíS INDIANA LAW!

Brother-in-law was trying to visit FFF (which wasnít open that early in the day and doesnít distribute to MD--yet). Came to Liquor Stop, called and put me on speaker-phone to cross-check beers with RateBeer. Anyway, owner was extremely helpful and we got into a long-distance, 3-person discussion of beer. He made some additional suggestions (of Great Divide brews--also not distributed in MD) which were spot-on with RB reviews. If this is the type of service you can expect from Liquor Stop, itís definitely my kind of place. Great customer service!

I drove down from Milwaukee to visit Three Floyds and Flossmoor, and stopped by The Liquor Stop because of its proximity to FFF. I was pleasantly surprised... Stoneís not in Wisconsin yet, so I bought one of everything they had there (which was a great selection, including: Ruination, Oaked Arrogant Bastard, Smoked Porter, etc.), and picked up a few six packs and bombers from other brewers that arenít available in Wisconsin, like Thirsty Dog and Hoppiní Frog. Then, because I had bought quite a bit, the owner threw in a free Mishawaka Hop Head single for me (thatís why service gets a 9). Singles selection is almost non-existent, but could be unbelievable if they broke down all their six packs, but since I was passing through, I didnít mind splurging a bit and getting full sixers. Anyway, excellent place overall, definitely stop in if your anywhere near FFF, especially if youíre not from around that area.

This is my regular stop. Great location on US 41 in Highland. The prices may be slightly high but in my quest for great beer I usually spend $20 a week to try new stuff and grab a few favorites. The serivce is good, they also enjoy trying the new items on the shelf and gladly ask my opinion. If you live in the region this is your best option the whole left wall of the building is import and micro brews. I have had a few skunkers, but overall no complaints.

A must-stop for Chicago dwellers: They got the Stone goods, and swell. Theyíve also got tons of IN goodies that donít make it into IL, a good selection of belgians, and a nice all-around selection of craft beer.
