Hey, Dan... you’re my first supplier rating, and I didn’t even mention your great vodka! Ahh, those days of passing your shop when going to XU in the ’seventies...

This is the place i bought my kits and kegging equipment, i have to say that the staff is knowledgeable and willing to answer questions, this will probably be my go to store for all of my equipments and ingredients

So I’m relatively new to homebrewing, have done most of my shopping on-line, haven’t visited that many brewshops, and the one’s I have been to aren’t legends of the hobby...for example I haven’t driven up to St. Paul to go to the Northern Brewer store. With those qualifications, I will say that this is the single most impressive homebrew shop I’ve yet seen! This shop (like all homebrew shops) is in a low-rent part of town. This one is in an old warehouse in the process of remodeling. There is a seating area downstairs...looks like the local homebrew club meets here. Upstairs is a shop entirely dedicated to homebrewing. A very good selection of yeast and hops (each in their own cooler) and a few beers in a cooler (but selling other people’s beer obviously isn’t their focus). The really bright spots here are equipment (they’ve got quite a bit) and grain...they have a very good selection. Like beer, homebrew supplies are perishable, and this place seemed to get a lot of traffic...makes you feel good about buying stuff from here. I chatted with the sales staff...the owner gave me a card and offered to order stuff for me. I emailed him yesterday to see what kind of deal I could get on bulk extract, but I haven’t heard back yet. A very cool place - I am impressed.

A great source for affordable, functional, easy to use equipment for the all grain brewer. Great service! Update 8/06 I recently visited the store while in the Cincinnati area. This place doesn’t have a fancy layout as most of the business is mail order. but when you see the extensive selection of grains, malts, additives and the like that are a little hard to find, you can appreciate that this ia homebrew’s dream store. Dan is also a very interesting and helpful fellow brewer. With several active hombrew clubs, it isn’t too surprising to find a good store nearby that fosters a great brewing community. Listermann’s undoubtably helps foster this community in the Cincinnati area.

If you are a home brewer and live in Cincinnati, you have probably heard of Listermann’s. Dan is very active in the Cincinnati Bloatarians (home brew club) has kits, grains, hops, malts, and lots of hardware. If you and Dan have the time, talk with Dan a bit - he is both comical and interesting! Some of his hardware are by his own design, and are improvements over other items commonly found.

Knowledgeable and very helpful staff. If you need it to brew, they have it. Plenty of kits, hops, grains, etc.

My home brewing life started and has been continually nourished at listermanns. His beer is great, and I always look forward to my next stop in.

The best homebrew shop in the city, and they make pretty good beer too. If I need anything, this is generally where I go. And Jason is extremely friendly and helpful!

Easy to find with parking next door. Asked twice if I could be helped as soon as I walked in the door. Great brewing and reading material. Go on Saturday from 1 to 5 PM and go to Woodstone Winery tasting room in the same building.

Pretty much the only place in the area that has homebrew supplies and ingredients. Fair prices, extensive selection, good service. Park in the gravel lot next to the RR tracks, go in the front door, and head up the steps in the left back corber, turn right then left, down the hall, and then you’re in the store!
