64 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 6/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 14/20 BMan1113VR (306) Los Angeles, California | November 10, 2011 Have been going here since they opened the cafe (I know the owners, they are also invested in Blue Dog Tavern). Beer selection is okay, nothing you can’t find elsewhere. Food is good (pastries and their restaurant nextdoor). Parking is street or valet parking in the back. Much more a cafe/restaurant than a beer spot. | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 MattH (41) California | September 22, 2011| Updated June 7, 2012 Came here the other day with a good friend. We were surprised at the good selection they had on their six taps. On this visit we each had a pint of Allagash Curiuex. Then my friend had Duchesse de Bourgogne followed by Scrimshaw Pilsner. I had Weihenstephaner Hef and finished with Trois Pistoles form Unibroue. The tap selection also included Old Rasputin. The prices were typical for LA, $6 to $9, but they do have a happy hour which started at 5 and so hour last beers were a little cheaper. The bartender/manager was a really nice girl. She said that the owners of this place are trying to open up a new place that will have 150 beers on tap. Hopefully they will succeed in doing this. |
