90 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 18/20 Deryk (2) Elgin, Alabama | December 15, 2012 Little Apple has a great stable of regular brews and their seasonals are fabulous as well. The stout they brew in the winter is phenomenal. The menu is has a good family variety but don’t expect chilli’s prices...and don’t expect chilli’s food...this is a great american small town microbrew and restaurant with college girl waitresses and home town customers. Great atmosphere. | 68 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 RobertDale (94) Lansing, Kansas | September 21, 2012 Much improved beer from my last visit two years ago. Food has always been decent but somewhat pricey. Service was good. Had 5 regulars and 1 seasonal available. Could be much better. | 44 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 4/10 SELECTION 5/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 10/20 TheCellarman (2) Manhattan, Kansas | June 1, 2012 If you want to know what Diacytal tastes like in a beer go here! A fine place to eat though. | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 csaso (133) Missouri | May 15, 2012 Nice place, especially for BFE Kansas. 5 regulars plus 3 seasonals on tap - good quality beer. Food is also good, again, especially for the area. Definitely recommend it if you are near here. | 68 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 14/20 beastiefan2k (153) Lawrence (formely NYC), Kansas | December 11, 2011 Have visited twice in the 3 years I have been living in Lawrence. First time was a relatively subpar experience but last time was much better. They have purttied the place up. New paint, new decorations for the shopping plaza. This seems to have translated to the brewing. No more diacetyl, no more lemony tartness int he beers. So, the beers are no longer poorly brewed. However, they are nothing special, very average brews, not well attenuated, muddied flavor profiles, etc. Worth a stop but don’t expect anything phenomenal. A good amount of taps. Food is very Midwest, big portions with lots of meat on the menu. Actually the menu was very extensive but still within the average brewpub fare choices. | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 13/20 mhkmurals (13) Kansas | September 28, 2011 The food, particularly steak, is pretty good. House beer can be a bit boring, but I recently tried the Barley Wine as a seasonal, and it was fantastic. Service is relatively fast, and the place is not as packed as it seemed to be ten years ago. The pale ale is decent and the stout is always a crowd favorite. Located in a sort of cheesy old strip mall called Westloop, it is also right down the road from Nespor’s, the second best liquor store in Manhattan. | 64 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 3/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 jmikolich (87) North Ridgeville, Ohio | August 7, 2011 Service is quick, crowd is very local and somewhat unwelcoming this isn’t cheers for sure, the black angus is super creamy for such a heavy stout.. Specials are plentiful and of decent value best of a bad situation stuck here in Kansas | 82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 18/20 nut_sac (3) Alabama | May 6, 2011 not sure when they re did the menu but I love it, usally always have something new on tap, black angus stout is one of my favorites, always get beer to go, wish they would update the website over all great pleace. | 64 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 13/20 eclaycamp (35) , Kansas | June 19, 2010 Little Apple Brewery is Manhattan’s lone brewpub. It’s tucked away inside the Westloop shopping complex and easy to mix. The food at Little Apple is typical of your brewpub, with their steaks being the best thing on the menu. Their burgers and other food is okay, though the steak pizzeta is probably the best thing you can get. The beer is spotty as best, as one week you can go and it tastes amazing and the next week you go it’s average. Not a great value for the price anymore either, as their beer is a little overpriced for the substance. Not bad, but not great either. | 78 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 17/20 samistake2ice (5) , Texas | April 26, 2010 Definately a land mark for the area. the food is great. The beers that they brew are really pretty good. On most afternoons you will find a group of beer loving locals, each of whom have their own specialized mug hanging on the wall. A must stop if you are ever in the area. |
