Wow this place has a big pub attached to it...I wasnít expecting that. However, because of itís size it loses a lot of ambiance and the service was lacking with all the people that were there. There wasnít much beer available on tap, but, they did have bottles to go for the ones I wasnít able to try. The food was decent, but nothing to write home about.
Can you say" Disneyland". Long Trail has a gold mine here, too bad good beer isnít their priority anymore. Make no mistake this place is a tourist attraction that serves ok food and beer. Stop if your going by, but donít make the trip just for the beer.
made a stop at this brewery quite a long time ago when I was skiing at K-Mart (AKA Kiillington). Nice property outside, the insideís decor was no frills with picnic tables as seating. the food was ok, and their beers are average. As the RBíer before me said, donít stop there unless you happen to be in the area. Definitely not worth a long trip. Oh yeah, their hours are terrible, think they close around 5 pm.
Their standard 6 beers are on tap and donít expect any surprises or anything on cask. The food is good and you can sit on the outside patio by the river. Beware, THEY DONíT SELL GROWLERS. Why is that you may ask? The company line is that they got complaints from people that didnt drink the whole growler and it wasnít fresh the next day. That may be the saddest excuse I have ever heard. Whatever, the beers are mediocre at best and if youíre not in the area, it is NOT worth the trip. Until these guys start brewing something worth drinking, they are officially on my shit list.
Simple rustic barn like building in the middle of nowhere in Vermont. Beautiful surroundings - rural. Great patio in the summertime by a stream in the back. Service was ok- it was so crowded they really had a hard time. Not all promised beers on tap. That was a bit disappointing. Would like to get back.
Been here on many a beer-binge. Only during the Summer though. Brewery is wedged in a vally below Killington. Has a pub for serving sandwiches and pints of their beers. The beer is always fantastic at the brewery, and to me, the only way to fully appreciate their beer, for I never found it to travel to NJ all that well when they used to deliver here. And you can sit outside on the porch at a picnic table next to the babbling brook and enjoy the fresh air and scenery. Fun place to stop while passing through.
I went here last December with some friends. This place is in the absolute middle of nowhere. It was the longest drive in the world to get there. The brewery doesnít even have any sort of tour, which really sucked. Thereís a restaurant with a bar and some picnic tables. This is at the bottom of one of the big VT ski resorts, so there were a ton of skiiers there. It was rather spacious and bland with lots of windows. There were some nice antique beer can collections on the walls, though. They also had a little gift shop.
