I had expected this place to be incredibly snooty, but it really wasn’t. I had a great time there, the service was great, and the beers were wonderful. I look forward to returning next time I’m in the area.

98 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 19/20
When I visited: Mid-September 2013.
What I had: Jack’s Abby Pro-Am Pilsner, Port Brewing Wipeout IPA, Pretty Things Field Mouse’s Farewell, Smuttynose Rhye IPA, and Lost Abbey Witch’s Wit on tap, truffle fries, pan roasted salmon, mac and cheese, and several glasses of Wairau River Sauvignon Blanc for my better half.
What I liked: Dark, no frills ambience, good college crowd, comfy and approachable bar, insane draught list, quick and welcoming servers, delicious food, had a great chat with the bartender and one of the patrons.
What I disliked: Nothing. We had a near-flawless experience and would come here very often if we lived in the neighbourhood.
Would I go back? Absolutely.
Overall Rating: 98

This is a serious beer joint. The emphasis is on getting quality brews for people like us to geek out on. It was very busy on a Friday night, but not prohibitively so. There were tons of things on tap I wanted to drink. Service was good. Bartenders stayed busy to keep up with the volume. The ambiance is cool with the wooden interior, hip music and very, very dim lighting. Also, the hobo burger is incredibly delicious.

Was here on a normal Saturday. Pretty good tap list, nice bottle list, too "hipster" for my taste. Food was okay and the service was top notch.

Definitely a worthy place to visit while in Cambridge..vibe is definitely a hip lounge setting with a u shaped bar and some high tops..booths filling out room..counted 44 tap offerings which were diverse with some very quality offerings from both near and far..bartender definitely knows beer and was willing to pour sample tastes and guide patrons in right direction..it was a bit dark in place and this really was the only real gripe..didn’t have time to try the food but people seemed to be enjoying late night offerings..kitchen also stays open to close..which is as plus..had band of brothers..bink offerings...best spot in Cambridge by far..beer list is updated daily on website..

I have a pretty serious beer crush on this place. Stopped by for brunch and the food was excellent. Love the atmosphere and the thought that clearly went into selecting their taps & bottles. Staff is a bit standoffish until they decide you know enough about beer to warm up to you, but that’s fine. Lots of people seemed to wander in because of the location and couldn’t care less about their riches on tap. A must-visit place if you’re in Boston.

Very nice place! Ambiance was really good despite a couple of hipsters in the place. Not too loud compare to a couple of places we have been in the area. Service was awesome and helpful with the bottle list. Great selection with a couple of fairly limited beers (including Night Shift). Food was really good, we ate crab cake, cheese and fries and everything was awesome. A tad pricey, but not bad for the area. A must visit place when you are in Boston/Cambridge area.

Unobtrusive corner location a few blocks from Kendall. U shaped bar dominates the back and tables/booths surround the front of the room. Beer menus are plentiful and offered upon arrival at the bar. Excellent selection of quality and scarce craft. Good selection of local MA brews alongside Cali and Belgian drafts. Didn’t have any food, so can’t comment there, but the folks next to me at the bar definitely enjoyed their wings. It was $5 drafts when I was there, so can’t comment on normal value, but $5 drafts is pretty good for Boston. Really enjoyed my stay - will definitely return.
