English style pub and ales, really tough to get a spot at 2pm. The food didnít look to appetizing. The beers were very meh besides the Three Sheets, the porter was out. Bar tenders didnít know jack about beer. Not a spot Iíd come back to with Hart so close.

Thatís a good place. Dark ones are wonderful. If Iím not mistaken, this is Australiaís oldest brewpub.

We visited this brewpub on 13.2.2015. Located in a quite nice area of Sydney - The Rocks. Very nice old building, claims to be the oldest hotel in Sydney. Inside very British, typical Pub style. They brew around 7 beers (4 pale and 3 dark ones). The small brew house is in the back room. We had only the pale ales, they are all light but absolutely clean and ok. For dinner we had Pizza, the only food they served this day, ok but small and very expensive.

Ended up here on Friday night, this place was pack. Nice old building. The beer was decent. Didnít try the food, there is a small eating area facing the brewery.

Taxi driver told me this was the oldest pub in Sydney. Could actually be true. Looked lived in, in a good way. Friendlyvstaff. No tasting paddles, though, which was surprising for a brewpub. Beers were mediocre at best. Didnít try the food.

Visited early and over lunch on July 12, 2013.
Walked their from my hostel down at Haymarket, took me about 35 minutes, was fairly easy to walk.
They had 7 beers on tap this day, not possible to get a tasting paddle or samples though, smallest serving were half pints, only other possibility were full pints. I got all seven beers as half pints, so spent a few hours here and got slight bit tipsy too.
They have free wifi, but blocks beer places, such as ratebeer.
Very cold served beers, but that is the standard in Oz it seems. Porter was out this day, replaces with a seasonal stout.
Very calm around 11 am when I arrived, got very busy from noon and on though.
I ate the fish and chips, about as good as they come, standard I mean. Nice surroundings.
Friendly fast service, no problem getting a tab and paying with your card in the end.
Feels like an English pub with many locals and a few tourists.
A bit older gentleman plus a few young pretty girls working the bar.
I can see myself returning, nice area around it too.

Nice oldish-school pub in The Rocks area - I like the inside, especially the fireplace! Clientele maybe a bit older, which is not a negative. Good service and nice to try their brewpub beers, preferred the schooner size. Beers served slightly too cold as others have noted.

One of my favorites in town (first bring The Local) actually. The beers are English in approach, and would benefit from cask-conditioning. The Trafalgar and the Victory were quite nice. Sizing is also British: halves and pints only. Cool place.

Nice pub, good atmosphere and always a good range of beers mostly with an English bent (which are served too cold). I usually drop in for a few if Iím in Sydney - never noticed the food menu, been too busy quaffing down pints.

Nice place with great beers but a wee bit too expansive.
