70 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 13/20 JoeMcPhee (465) Toronto, ON, Ontario | October 3, 2012 This place was absolutely jammed on a Saturday afternoon when I was in – and it’s not really hard to see why. Bright and airy space with lots of exposed brick in an old, heritage building in this quaint little town. Cheap pints and high quality (the pale ale and the Indica are particular favourites) brews make it great value. Food looked tasty (although I didn’t eat while here). Friendly and efficient service. Me likey. | 86 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 17/20 mrhoppy (115) Santa Clara, California | June 30, 2009 This is the ideal brew pub. All around great place to visit. | 60 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 12/20 BeerLimey (113) California | August 22, 2005 Cafe atmosphere, pretty small place. Good hamburger and pizza, service was decent. Not too much different on tap, their regular brews as well as a Watermelon Wheat and a Tangerine Wheat. | 60 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 5/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 10/20 harlequinn (112) Tacoma, Washington | January 12, 2006 Typical loud noisy bar, with a bunch of locals sitting around getting shitfaced, but the beer is fucking killer and the food is alright decent portions but over priced. Check out the pool hall across the street. | 66 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 4/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 11/20 YogiBeera (109) Hamburg, Germany | April 29, 2007 Very greasy table and food. I was quite dissappointed. The atmosphere was ok and the service was friendly. | 60 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 11/20 JohnnyJ (96) San Diego, California | October 13, 2010 Interesting building, but kind of trashy, the patrons also seemed trashy, at least the bar tender was nice. The beer was just okay, some specials, which I am glad of. I actually thought the pricing was fairly cheap compared to the SD area, but the beer wasn’t even close to as good. | 84 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 NoiZe (76) Amersfoort, Netherlands | August 12, 2008 Very nice place. Very good service. Got the tasting platter with 10 brews. Asked for the remaining 3 beers, got them as tasting too :)
Nice and interesting food too.
Good selection. | 72 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 15/20 fidel (74) Livermore, California | December 22, 2009 Cool building, good beer, good service. Very crowded on a Saturday afternoon. | 72 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 16/20 boFNjackson (71) Portland, Oregon | May 26, 2010 I dug this brewpub. Lost Coast is brewery that’s not much on my radar up here in Portland (beervana), but it was a great experience at their establishment. Fresh tasting beer, good pub grub, friendly service. I had a calimari steak sandwich rocked, and the limited barleywine on tap didn’t taste bad too. Lots of merch for sale, beer to go, can’t really go wrong. | 68 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 5/10 VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 11/20 JaBier (69) Capital City, Ohio | August 14, 2010 Stopped in here for lunch on 8/5/10. Decent looking place with a typical lunch clientele. Service was very good. Friendly and attentive and when my friend mentioned that he wasn’t terribly pleased with the Fog Cutter, she was incredibly gracious and poured him something else with no problem. Ten beers on the sampler this day and not bad quality overall. Standout for me was the Tangerine Wheat. Food was okay. I got the french dip and the meat was a little tough and stringy, but the fries were good. Pricing was pretty reasonable. |
