Kindof a tourist trap, but we needed a place to rest our legs after walking around Rome. Quite cozy Germanstyle beerstub interior inside. 6 taps with Paulander beers on, didnt check i they had any bottles. My german inspired The food was a mixed experience, my sausages, sourkraut and patatos was rather poor, but my wifes saled was really good. Prices was rather high, but then again, its placed right in the centre of (turist hell) Rome.

This place could easy have been located in Germany. Lovley interior. You can also sit outside and have a beer or two. Located in the worst shoppinge area of Roma. Sit down and relax with a good beer while you wife do her shopping. All the other places in this area serv you only boring boring pale lagers. This was my church for the moment.

Si salva solo l’ambiente e l’atmosfera generale da birreria storica tedesca.

A very nice place in the Tridente area, a corner of Bavaria near Spanish Steps. Not the best address to have a real beer experience. But if you like bavarian beer and its atmosphere, this one could be a quite good choice. The selection is small, 6 or 7 taps, definitely nothing special, and so the food.

A little bar that appeared in the list of places and the ratebeer map that I printed. Not many options for the thirsty man in the touristy area of Piazza del Popolo. Located on a narrow street. Full name is actually Lowenhaus Birreria Bavarese. The bar itself is in the basement but it has a nice patio on the street. German lagers is what you drink there, nothing else. I think they had 8 of them on tap. Nothing out of the ordinary as far as selection is concerned. Paulaner and friends. I did not check for bottles. I did not eat there but they have food. We just had some nice german largers on the patio it was an enjoyable experience. Is this place really worth being on ratebeer? I don’t know, are 8 basic

Discovered this place one street south of the Piazza del Popolo in Rome. Its a small little German themed restaurant that is mostly in the basement in a small side street. Nice interior decor with german feel. Also some seating outside on the street in the shade. Menu is pretty large but decently expensive, probably due to the location in a touristy area. I only ordered a few small appetizers but they tasted very good and went well with the beer. I think they had about 9-10 beers on tap, all German products, and most seemed to be Paulaner owned, but I could be wrong about that. May have had more in bottle as well but I didn’t ask. Service was good and quick. Overall, I’d say this is a good place if you are getting sick of Italian food and wine and are in the area. By the time I had gone here I had been in southern Europe for 2 weeks and wanted homecooking and good beer. Worth a stop if you’re in a similar situation, but by no means a beer mecca or worth going out of the way for.
