68 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 13/20 Braudog (655) Hampton, Virginia | March 4, 2013 This is a Bohemian, narrow bar in the gritty Oregon district. I’ve been a couple times and have had trouble finding a seat, let alone two together. The beer list is indeed one of the better in the area and constantly changing, with lots of regional choices and sturdy craft scions. Have never tried any food. | 82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 16/20 jsquire (125) St. Marys, Ohio | October 2, 2012 Nice bar in the Oregon District, with a very young crowd and lots of tatoos. Nice tap list with a wide variety of quality beer, along with a full bar. Food consists of sandwiches/burgers/hot dogs, and the turkey sandwich and fries was very good. The bartender was great, knew the beers, and offered tastes before you ordered a pint. So far my favorite of the Oregon District beer bars. | 84 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 bgburdman9 (24) Kettering, Ohio | March 10, 2012 South park, Chappys, trolley stop, and luckys are definitely the best beer bars in dayton. Luckys has a few taps that always stay the same but they are always getting in some good beers. Today I had founder curmudgeons better half, breckenridge 20th, new holland who ate my cookie, and bells golden rye. None of these I have been on tap anywhere else in Ohio. I got food for the first time and tried the fried chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and it was delicious. You can choose any beer on tap for your beer batter. My girlfreind got a veggie dog and loved it. This place can be packed or empty depending on when you are there, but it is highly recommended. | 72 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 15/20 Capa (248) Manama, Bahrain | October 4, 2011 Stopped in during an Oregon District pub crawl of sorts. Decent size place that was pretty crowded though my buddy and I were able to find some spots at the bar. Lots of college aged kids but some older folks as well. Pretty loud, but it was late on a Saturday night so it was expected. Barkeep was nice, quick with a drink, and conversational. Had some things on tap I’d never had before so I was happy to stay for a couple pints. A nice addition to the Oregon District. |
