(Visited 08/2013): Toxic Brew is located in the Oregon District of downtown Dayton on 5th Street. Street parking is available in the vicinity.

The interior is relatively narrow, with table seating past the entrance and then the bar on the left. Large logo mirror behind the bar with the taps in front of it. Dark maroon walls and kitschy decor.

Luckyís has around 15 beers on tap, and there is a binder describing the beers. Craft breweries in the region like Yellow Springs and Rivertown as well as other domestic brewers like Left Hand, Ballast Point and Founders.

Service on a relatively busy Sunday afternoon during the Taste of Oregon was good. Our server was familiar with the beers and was attentive.

The menu at Luckyís consists of appetizers, soups/salads, sandwiches and a couple entrees. My group all enjoyed their choices. There are many vegan options too.

All in all this is a cool beer bar to visit in Dayton.

Great place for rotating taps and new beers. 20 taps. Wonít find bud light on tap here. Most pleasant service of any of the beer bars in Dayton. Good food too.

After a quick glance at the tap lists of local beer bars in Dayton, I decided Luckyís had the best selection. About 18 taps, all good and interesting choices, with a few Iíve never had before - some locals, like Yellow Springs, and some rarities, like Indra Kunindra. Prices for beers on tap are also very reasonable. I stopped by twice on one weekend on my way to and back from Fort Wayne. Service was pretty solid both times. All the staff I encountered were knowledgeable. One awesome thing about this place is that they keep a little binder at every table that has a short, descriptive write-up about every beer on tap, a very nice touch. Ambiance and decor is sort of run of the mill, you could call it cozy but nothing too exciting visually. Tried the Luckyís burger and a soup. I wasnít terribly impressed by the food, but I finished it easily both times, and it looked like there was a lot to choose from on the menu (especially sandwich-wise). Overall, I was satisfied. I came looking for new beers to try, and found them at Luckyís. Will stop by again when passing through the area. UPDATE: Stopped here again, had a crispy chicken sandwich. Very good. Great beers on tap again, too. This is the bar I can relate to most, so far, that Iíve found in Dayton.

We used to frequent Luckyís more when we lived closer. Anyhow, we love this place, the food, the beer, the boho atmosphere. The sweet potato fries are not to be missed. Plus they have a great vegan menu. Sure the place is busy, but that NOT a reason to nix points off, are just jealous you didnít find it first! Face it, cool places are the busiest.

This is a Bohemian, narrow bar in the gritty Oregon district. Iíve been a couple times and have had trouble finding a seat, let alone two together. The beer list is indeed one of the better in the area and constantly changing, with lots of regional choices and sturdy craft scions. Have never tried any food.

Nice bar in the Oregon District, with a very young crowd and lots of tatoos. Nice tap list with a wide variety of quality beer, along with a full bar. Food consists of sandwiches/burgers/hot dogs, and the turkey sandwich and fries was very good. The bartender was great, knew the beers, and offered tastes before you ordered a pint. So far my favorite of the Oregon District beer bars.

South park, Chappys, trolley stop, and luckys are definitely the best beer bars in dayton. Luckys has a few taps that always stay the same but they are always getting in some good beers. Today I had founder curmudgeons better half, breckenridge 20th, new holland who ate my cookie, and bells golden rye. None of these I have been on tap anywhere else in Ohio. I got food for the first time and tried the fried chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and it was delicious. You can choose any beer on tap for your beer batter. My girlfreind got a veggie dog and loved it. This place can be packed or empty depending on when you are there, but it is highly recommended.

Stopped in during an Oregon District pub crawl of sorts. Decent size place that was pretty crowded though my buddy and I were able to find some spots at the bar. Lots of college aged kids but some older folks as well. Pretty loud, but it was late on a Saturday night so it was expected. Barkeep was nice, quick with a drink, and conversational. Had some things on tap Iíd never had before so I was happy to stay for a couple pints. A nice addition to the Oregon District.
