Dirty parking lot, scared my car was going to get burned or stolen. Dirty store, massive and navigable enough though. service was available but not knowledgeable at all. Saw a few brews I hadn’t seen in a while, but nothing new or extraordinary. i did find some whisky I had been looking all over town for.

Wow. Stopped by and found a bunch of beers I’d been looking for. I walked out with three different Avery beers I haven’t had and a couple of nice Belgium beers. They have a load of 120min IPA bottles at $7.99 (they didn’t last too long). Will certainly go back to check on the beer selection and the Scotch, hmmm, Lagavulin anyone? The Rogue IIPA had dust on it. What does that say about the general beer drinking Tampa-ites? Everyone there was loading up on 24+ packs of coors, busch, etc garbage beer.

Had some friends in town from Denmark so I took them over to Dunedin to try some beers. Since it was around 3 and Dunedin doesn’t open till 4 we headed over to Luekens.
It is located just off 580 on the corner where a KFC sits. It’s right next to a budget grocery store...Save a Lot I think.
The selection was pretty impressive. I found 3 beers I’d never had...a Belgian Bock and a Scottish Ale. That doesn’t happen for me often int he Bay Area. The beers are shelved randomly and the arrangement doesn’t make a whole lot of since, but search around and you’ll find some gems.
Most 12 ozer are not availible as singles, but they carry a large selection of bombers and 750’s and the selection runs the gambit from imports to micros.
I’d say it is definitely worth a stop if you are int he area. I was impressed with the sheer size of the place...on par with the cavernous Total Wines and More in Tampa.

I would like to say this about Lueken’s Liquors, Cheep as Hell & a great selection!! brThis store has a pretty decent selection of beer, some hard to find rare Belgian ales and what not, but the prices are Amazing! I picked up a 750ml of Fantome Printemps for $9 and a 3 pack of assorted 750ml Unibroue’s for $16, a 750ml Abbaye des Rocs for $7. This is the largest liquor store I have ever been in, bbut don’t go far out of your way to hit it up unless you are visiting the Dunedin Brewery, and then you must stop at this joint!/b
