It’s not a great source for bottled beers but there are some interesting (read: random, gimmicky) beers in here. Nothing great in terms of quality, but I think there are things to interest some RBers. Hunger Mountain (which is just few minutes away) has a vastly superior beer selection, so if you’re visiting one bottle source in Montpelier make it Hunger Mountain.

I only go here to return beer bottles for cash. Selection is weak.

NOT WORTH STOPPING. I think this place should be removed from the site. It’s mostly swill and a few common larger VT micros. Just go to Hunger Mountain Co-op if you actually want to buy beer.

This is a bottle redemption convenience store located next to the railroad tracks on the edge of Downtown Montpelier. No ambiance to speak of other than the aroma of stale returnable bottles in the back of the store and plenty of candy and snack foods to go. However they have a decent enough selection at lower prices. They tend to focus on the national brands but I give them credit for having most of the McNeill’s line as well as a good supply of Stone, Rock Art and several Vermont micros. You can mix and match but you might want to bring your own 6-pack carrier. Parking is tight. However they are open for buying and bottle redemption 7-days per week.
