Mad Anthonyís is a nice place to have a couple pints and enjoy some tasty eats. Try the pizza. Itís a bit pricey for pizza, but well worth it. Thereís usually a good variety of beers on tap. Some are mediocre to average and some are really very good. Thereís not always an IPA available and sometimes the hoppiest thing youíll find is the always available Olí Woody pale ale, but itís quite good. Besides that you can get anything from a stout of one form or another to a light raspberry fruit beer among the 9-10 beers on tap. Note: You canít smoke indoors in Fort Wayne businesses anymore, so Iíve removed smoking from the place entry.

(Visited 05/2015): Mad Anthonyís Fort Wayne brewpub is on Broadway and Taylor on the southwest part of town. There is a parking lot next to the building.

A patio is outside, and the inside opens to a table seating area, with a bar running along the rear. Checkerboard floors, beer related stuff on the walls and hanging lights (and a wooden propeller) in the dining area. The beers on tap are listed on a board behind the bar.

In terms of beers, Mad Anthony carries around 20 on tap. Aside from the year-round flagship beers they have a lot of seasonals, and samplers are available. On my visit the selection included an Anniversary Ale, Sour Ginger, Hopsquatch II, Bent Rim Black and a Honey Cream Ale. The beers were all slightly above average to decent with nothing standing out in particular one way or the other.

Service on a weekday lunch was good. The server was friendly and knowledgeable about the beer menu.

Food at Mad Anthony is pretty good, my colleague and I both enjoyed our lunches.

Overall the beers at Mad Anthony are lacking in some areas but itís a nice location with a pretty large beer list and solid food. I would go back.

came here since summit brewerks was a dog pile of noobs and I did not want to eat a hot dog with PBJ. Large seating and bar area near the heart of FWA. Not much of a crowd. Menu was the same as the Mad Anthonyís in Warsaw. Beer selection was also the same. Nothing wild or crazy but a few solid drafts for sure. I ordered the brats which were good, service was adequate. I may be back, hopefully my travel to fort wayne stops and people learn how to railroad otherwise I will be myself some more until people resign. they we can get some where.

Large place with multiple rooms and a patio, very eclectic. Service was friendly and food looked good, although I didnít eat. Decent sized beer selection, primarily their own. Beer was average. Nice stop but I donít think I would pop in again.

This place is set up like a 1950s diner. Nothing about it is all that great, including the beer. I didnít eat, but they do have food. Itís unlikely that Iíll be back...even if Iím in Fort Wayne.

Stopped in on an early Friday evening. The parking lot was full, but I took a cab here so it didnít impact me much. Despite the full parking lot, I had no trouble walking up to the bar, sitting down, and ordering some beer. It was brought to me pretty quickly. I ordered a sampler and a pint of my favorite form the sampler and it was under twenty dollars. 9 samples and a pint for under $20 isnít bad. The service was friendly and one of the bartenders seemed to be knowledgeable. Overall, it was a decent experience, the quality of the beer just wasnít all that great.

Kind of a divey spot in FW. Had 10 or so beers on tap. I got a sampler and it was only $7 or so. I was the only one at the bar and service was great. Food is good and the selection is good. Great spot in FW.

Stopped by on my way out from Fort Wayne. Easy parking in the rear. It was raining, so I entered through the backdoor. As we wandered towards the bar, we got a nice tour of the place. Tons of older-style decor and beer memorabilia everywhere, I liked the way the place was decorated. Casual, townie feel, but very much beer-focused. 9 house beers on tap. We sat at the bar and I got tasters of all of them. Mostly standard stuff on tap, nothing too creative while I was there, but mostly solid beers. Bartender was nice and helpful. I didnít try the food but someone I was with got lettuce wraps, they looked pretty good. Overall, Iím glad I stopped by, and will try to stop by again next time Iím in the area.
