Stopped by Loudoun Countyís newest brewery to try things out. As a local itís kind of odd going in there because it used to be a funeral home, but you wouldnít know it looking at the place. Tasteful if sparse decor with a limited menu of sandwiches and snacks at this time. The place was pretty empty but the staff behind the bar were very friendly. The beers were classic examples of the their respective styles and while not overly ambitious, they didnít have any major flaws. Prices were average for the northern Virginia areas. Iím looking forward to see how this place comes along.

Well, I like that this small area of NoVA is seeing a surge in breweries, but this one needs some help. The beer lacked carbonation and the food tasted like it was cooked in a microwave.

November 2013. Visited on a Saturday afternoon and were greeted by two gregarious fellows who wanted to give us all the details on every beer and wine they had before we opened our mouths. We finally got around to say we wanted the sampler flight, which was quite generous. The beers displayed a bit of range, from "just OK" to "pretty good." They have a limited menu, but we didnít eat. Quaint little small town brewpub. Brewery #636.

Big open area, with brewing area to the right on your way into the place. Lots of grain bags around the place. Aroma of fresh brewed beer. The three beers available were okay, though sadly, not as good as I had hoped. Had at least one other local beer on tap (Optimal Wit). Didnít eat any food, but looked like typical bar food from the looks of the other customers inside.

This place looks like it used to be someoneís house. If you park in the small lot in the back, you enter the back door and pass the brewery portion on the right. Then thereís a squat bar on the left, and you can continue through to some tables in what would have been the living room and dining room. The fireplace is very fake, but mesmerizing nonetheless. The beers are drinkable, but thatís about it. Only three on offer. Pints only, sadly, but generous free samples.

Located in a cozy feeling downtown area. I found parking to be a bit of a challenge as their lot is small, and the street isnít really designed for street parking. Big, open space with a long wooden bar. The decor is eclectic and looks haphazard. Bartender was very helpful and friendly. Simple menu with bar food, but I did not eat. Decent prices on beer and food. The travesty that was the marzen aside, the beer is fairly solid. They tend to be a bit off balance, but they show potential. I canít really see going here too often, but it looks like Corcoran is only about 4 miles away, so it might be worth it from time to time.
