Large place, no beer ambient, but "tapas" one. Some 3 or 4 of their own beers available. Food is poor quality, expensive, but free tapas with beer are ok (because theyīre free...). Located close to another brewpub in Madrid, Naturbier.

One of only two brewpubs in Madrid this place is notable solely for the fact that their Cerveza Tostada (literally "Toasted Beer" but basically a sort of Amber Ale) is one of the better Spanish beers you will ever find. Worth a trip if you consider yourself a beer nerd but otherwise unimpressive. The tapas are ok and very authentic which means lots of meat or anchovies over bread, which may not be to everyoneís taste. Regardless I make at least a couple of trips here whenever I find myself in Madrid because I like to support the embryonic beer culture in Spain. You have to give them props for at least brewing their own.

Touristy place very close to Santa Ana. square. A bit rowdy. The beers are certainly OK, whereas you shoukd probably get your snacks or tapas from other places nearby.

Wide and immense handicraft brewpub near Plaza Santa Anna. Pleasant lighting system and prevalence of tables and chairs in old style wood. Much beautiful bench/desk of service that occupies nearly all knows it main. Staff not much available with the foreigners.

Went on a Saturday night around 9. Good atmosphere, not super touristy, just basic bar decor. German style, but not so corny "oompa" like nearby Naturbeir. Seemed to have a younger crowd also. We had a cool bartender, young guy, who was happy to serve me the taster tray and make some recommendations. Another bartender who I asked a question gave me the ítude, so it looks like there are good and bad servers, which would explain the mxed ratings for this place. Oh yeah, the beers: simple versions of classic styles. A pale lager, a tostada which is like a nut-brown, and a dopple bock. They also had a sweet carmely stout which was not outstanding. I enjoyed a dopple and a pale, knowing that you have to give credit to any beer pub in Madrid for just existing. And at these prices, you canít complain. Maybe 3.50 euros a pint? They gave us some free tapas with each drink. They were ok. We didnít try the food, but it looked decent. Overall a good experience, I will come back!

Well, 4 beers available when I was there. Looks very turistic and they have banners all over with their beer, really all over. Load dance music (???) pumping out from big speakers....I speak Spanish como tu madre and I told the two people behind the bar that I wanted to taste all the beers available but only small versions. I got three tasters in a wooden tray and one a the side. Nice... took my time to taste and rate... then after a while I wanted to pay. At the counter I was told that I did not drink anything.... ? Quť?.... Then I was told that the tasters were for me to find out which one(s) I liked and then order. How the heck was I suppose to know that?! I got a sampler in a nice tray.... not just a small quick taste in a tiny glass. Well, told the guy how it normally is with the taster thing and was just about to order one the beer I like the most out of the 4 when I was told that he did care for opinios. That was his bossí area, "Vale, gracis" (Ok, thank you) he s

I didnít do any beer research before my trip, and just stumbled across this palce after dinner one night. It was crowded, dark, and quite smoky.. but it seemed like there were a lot of people really enjoying themselves. It took forever to get service at the bar, and it was even harder to convey to the bartender that I just wanted a sample of all their house beers (she didnít charge me, and seemed slightly offended because she thought I didnít like any of them because I didnít order a pint.. I wasnít in the mood for a pint of anything at that point). The beers were decent, and much better than most beer youíre going to find in that area.

A place that seems to offer some rather variable products, indeed to me, a lover of pale lagers, I was surprised to find much more satisfaction in their dark one. The free tapas are a very nice touch and the prices quite decent. Definitely hit that spot if in Madrid as itís close to Naturbier. Average beer quality and limited selection, but itís Spain and still worth visiting.
