Had a drink or two at the sunny beer garden in the front of the restaurant. Pretty early so just a few locals hanging around. Quiet, friendly atmosphere. Enjoyable afternoon.

Super cool place. Tons of locals and excellent beer. The food was amazing. I had a liver dumpling soup and the schnitzel. The best time to come is the weekend, but in general you must go during dinner anytime you go because it’s the only time you can have the Ungespundet Kellerbier. It’s a treat and well worth waiting for dinner to have. I say weekend though because they have a more extensive menu that during the week. Great value! Excellent place!

loved this place, The "U" was best beer i had in Bamberg. Food was very good also. Interesting group of characters drinking there. Must stop

Great ambiente! Have not done a brewery tour, however brewery looks great from outside. Beer and food outstanding.

My favorite beer in town is Mahr’s "u". Only tapped from the wood after 4 pm. The tap room is a wood stained wonder. Cozy and VERY local. Decent beer garden and stand up "swemme". Try the "blaue zipfel".

Definitely my favourite brewpup in bamberg ... Nice courtyard outside and very nice interior with the typical wood panel .. Their "U" is simply amazing and maybe the best in town .. I had a hell too but nothing compared with the "U" .. The food is good too

Lovely wee berrgarden. Interior is pretty interesting too! Dark wood pannels etc. Service had always a professional smile on. Beer was served at light speed and spot on. I like that! Food and beer prices are ace considering the quantity.

Big brewpub with a nice beergarden. 5 beers on tap, and some bottles aswell. Got samples of the 5 tapped beers for a fair price. Good service and fairly priced.

The selection is maybe the widest between all the brewpubs in Bamberg. The U and the dunkel alone are worth a stop here, but their pils and their helles are good too. Kind service.

I’ve been inside but really only really spent time in their nice, crunchy garden, where I’ve been happy to find locals sitting early in the morning. The beers for me are hit or miss (but with the occasional spectacular hit), unfortunately they sometimes don’t have much available.
