Visited during Jolly to Bamberg 2014. Nice Classic Place with good beers. We visited late in the evening and had quite a good time. Remember that view, Colin? :) I hope to visit again, this place had a nice atmosphere.

Classic place, or so I’ve been told. Two beers from a faux-wooden plastic barrel. Beer and atmosphere is decent. It is a central location with other beer venues close by, so worth to drop in when already in the area.

A nice garden with a typical German ambiance. The beer selection isn’t very big though. Tried some of their food and I really wasn’t a fan of it, but I guess I’m just not too fond of the traditional German food. The service is nice, but depends on who’s working there. It was nice to visit once, but I’m pretty sure I won’t return there. Prices are, like in most German places, pretty decent.

Wel een leuk terras, je ruikt de mout vanuit de brouwerij. Zowel bier van tap als van de fles gehad. Ook nog iets gegeten, traditioneel eten, waar ik niet van houd helaas.

Big place with a lovely biergarten. Smiling service, although it is a little tourist-y. Lovely beer, although it’s a bit too yeasty for me.

Big place, traditional decor and layout - old dark wood, a drinking corridor through the middle with rooms off it, and a big garden with chestnut trees and a fair bit of shade. In the garden, only the food is table service - you fetch your own beer from a servery and pay for it straightaway. Four beers on tap, including the superb Ungespundet, but Dunkel only in bottles, sadly. Food is traditional Bavarian fare, pretty good.

Lovely place, with a nice small beer garden, with lots of places to sit and drink in the shadow, visiting on a quiet afternoon, relaxed atmosphere, good service and nice food.

Nice place, especially inside. Good service. Beer tap directly from the keg (2 beers), rest from the bottle.

Had a drink or two at the sunny beer garden in the front of the restaurant. Pretty early so just a few locals hanging around. Quiet, friendly atmosphere. Enjoyable afternoon.

Super cool place. Tons of locals and excellent beer. The food was amazing. I had a liver dumpling soup and the schnitzel. The best time to come is the weekend, but in general you must go during dinner anytime you go because it’s the only time you can have the Ungespundet Kellerbier. It’s a treat and well worth waiting for dinner to have. I say weekend though because they have a more extensive menu that during the week. Great value! Excellent place!
