Small taproom with view on the brewery. A bit cold for ambiance, but the beers makes it for that. Nice staff, super efficient. My only down point is the price of the beers to go. Altough quality is there and Iím willing to pay for it normally, 24$ for the equivalent of a six pack (in terms of quantity) of a simple pale ale like a tiny beautiful something, is not something I will do on a regular basis. But the beer is good, yes absolutely...

When I was stationed in Maine, I lived in Yarmouth and just before I got orders to Alaska, Maine Beer Company moved from Portland to Freeport which quickly became a hangout for me. Mmmmm...stellar facility. The rest of this is from notes. Its extremely clean. They take pride in making sure everything is exceptionally clean. The service, no matter on whatever day youíre there. The servers are always cordial and always willing to answer any questions and if they donít know the answer, theyíll be quick to let you know that theyíll try to find an answer for you eventually. The selection, its their brews and nothing there is nowhere close to being bad. The value, with LL Bean just up the road, one could say they could cater to the uppity types, but for the most part, they generally keep the prices down in my opinion. Overall, if youíre in Maine, take the drive/taxi up to Freeport. Please donít miss out on this up and coming brewery.

Very cool place. If you are in the area, it is not to be missed! 8 beers on draft, $2.50 for a 5 oz pour. Super clean, simple and bright place. The only thing missing is a patio to enjoy the nice spring weather.

Happened by cruising up Rt 1, and said, "what the heck, letís check it out". GREAT decision. Friendly, very knowledgeable server, and excellent variety of outstanding beers. They donít (or didnít when I was there summer of 2013) fill growlers, which was somewhat of a down. A little pricey for bottles to go, but you get what you pay for. Outstanding craft brewer.

Wjhat a cool place looks like nothing when you walk in but what a beautiful brew pub. Elegant counter tops and design. Even the lighting is unique. Bunch of their beers available in full glasses or as a flight. You can see the entire brewery from a glass window above. The beers are amazing, some of the best I have had and you can get them to go.

Stopped in for a visit over the summer. The tasting room is very austere, but well laid out. A nice bar area with tables for relaxing. Quite a few of their brews available on tap, and full bottles for sale. A large window overlooks the brewery below. Their beers make this a must stop!

Amazing beers, knowledgable friendly attentive staff, clean austere layout. You get the sense that "keep it simple, let quality speak for itself" is the reigning philosophy here, from the white wooden structure through o the beer that they serve. And it works! Absolutely exceptional beers, a must visit.

Another great brewery to visit in the area. Maine Beer Company usually has about 8 taps on and serves them all up for $18. Great way to try their numerous delicious pale ales fresh as can be. I, for one, didnít realize their beers were so good before visiting this place. Nice.

We stopped in on our way out of Maine after failing everywhere else to get a bottle of Lunch. Luckily they had some (which had been bottled a day or two earlier) and I went home happy. There were several beer on tap in a nice draft room with windows that overlooked the brewery/warehouse/shipping dock(?) and the guy who helped me was pleasant and enthusiastic. Only one of the tap beers was one I couldnít find in bottles elsewhere in Maine and the family was waiting in the car, so I scored a few bottles of Lunch and a lovely Maine Beer (Do Whatís Right) glass that I have enjoyed eve since. Definitely worth a stop and I wish it was just down the road from my place.
