Happened upon this place while driving up to Burlington - stopped in town because I had to pee, and saw a beer store, so I went on in - as of July 2007, the McNeills selection was pretty much non-existant - they had a huge shelf of Rock Art bombers for 2.99 a piece, but you can get these anywhere - the place seemed more like a place for rednecks to buy lottery tickets and pints of whiskey - donít waste your time, even if you ARE in Manchester.

Yes, this place does carry McNeills...but thatís about it as far as beers of interest, at least in August 2005. Typical small NE liquor store ambiance, beer is lonesome against the back of the store, most refrigerated which is nice...but nothing of real interest to the beerhunter besides those half-dozen or so McNeills, which were NOT refrigerated and sitting on the top shelf under harsh lights. No service worth speaking about, redneck character to the place despite the wealthy tourist town location.

A: The place is a half beer shop/ half liquour store. The beers fill 7-8 coolers along one wall and several smalls aisles of craft beer.
Q: Having Heady topper automatically ups this places quality automatically. They had several other hard to find beers but nothing uber rare.
S: The counter guy was friendly but not much help when it came to answering brewery questions.
S: Having Heady topper automatically ups this places quality automatically. Unfortunately, that is the best they do for Vermont beers. They carry Maine Beer Co., Allagash, and several other smaller brewers that we dont see in Upstate NY.
Overall, a nice trip up from Albany for Heady Topper, Allagash, and Maine Beer...but thats about it.

Too far away to go to that often, but well worth a visit when you are in the area. An excellent selection of beer, which includes some hard to find brands that I have seen few other places in VT. Thanks to a 2011 law change, they recently started filling growlers on-site. One of the times I visited, I talked with a couple of folks behind the counter and found them to be quite knowledgeable about the beer they were selling. I thought that the beer was a bit overpriced, but the unusual selection made up for this, in my mind.

this place is great. they have a TON of mcneills beer0 ruby ale, slop bucket, imp stout, etc etc. staff wasnt very friendly to me which was unusual for this area of the country where everyone seemed to be as nice as possible. the selection was unbeatable and this was the best store i hit in vermont. a must stop if you are in this area.

Excellent selection. Just passing by while in the area and stopped. $117 later I left, and I had to leave some things behind that I wanted. Definitely worth a stop, IMO. Best selection I've yet seen in VT.

Dropped in on my way through Vermont, looking for some local stuff to take home to share with the gang. What an incredible beer selection for the size. It wasnít long before I was met by the fellow who makes the beer selection. Got great personalized service, and Iím happy to recommend this place highly!

Killing time in Manchester and stumbled upon this place, which was a pleasant pit stop. Beer is in the back corner next to the redemption place which made it not smell very good. Didnít find anything I wanted to buy, surprisingly, some good VT beer but nothing rare enough to carry around with me all day. Seems to be the only place around for at least 30 mintues.
