Spending 3-4 nights a week at the Courtyard across the street means I end up @ MBC most nights for a nightcap (or 2). Standard brewpub interior, with a large outdoor seating area. Iím territorially fond of the place since we spend a lot of time here, but as Iíve said to Theisti, their beers, while good and well-made, arenít overly special and the list is often fairly short. Food is standard bar fare, and the SPinach salad, replete with fresh bacon is a personal favorite that I probably eat 3X/week. If youíre in Marin, thereís absolutely no reason you shouldnít go here.
Bustling joint at the ferry landing from San Francisco. Big long bar and plenty of outdoor seating. 8 house beers on tap. Select house beers also offered in take away bottles. Efficient service at the bar.
Itís nice to sit in the shadow on the patio, sampling some fine beers and just relaxing. Nice interior as well, and the beers were mostly fine. The peach beer was rather unpleasant though, way too artificial. Certainly a place worth a stop on the way from SF to Santa Rosa.
Friendly staff and fast service. They had 7 beers on tap when I visited and most of them were very good. I can highly recommend this place and I will visit again if im in the area.

Been back a few times since like for RBSG 2009, a few random stops on the way to Russian River, and even a ferry trip across the bay but here is an old rating from my first trip:
We stopped here on the way home from Russian River. The place is pretty easy to find and there is lots of parking outside. The waiter showed up right away and got the drink orders. We didnít order any food or even look at the menu because we had just had dinner at Russian River. We ordered a sampler and split that.
I was surprised that there was only 8 beers in the sampler. The laminated card that they put the sampler on had at least a dozen beers on it. In any case, the Hoppy Holidaze was awesome and the IPA was good too. The prices were reasonable and the place was nice and comfortable. I would go here again.
Stopped her heading back down to SF and just after hitting Moylanís. Similar feel, chain family restaurant that brews beer, but this had more feel and character as it fit the area more. Busy, but got a seat at the bar. Bartender was attentive and answered questions. Had a few samples that were solid with more variety than Moylanís. Food looked decent, but we opted to not eat here. Prices were good on draft and bottles to go were quite cheap. Good stop and would go again if in the area.

Stopped in here with my wife on our way from SF to my cousinís place in Martinez. Located in the middle of the Larkspur Landing shopping center, it was a little hard to find. The inside was cool. Lots of drawings from patrons and old MBC stuff lined the wood walls. There were 8 beers on when I was there. Samplers can feature any amount of 4 oz. pours you want. The price was fine and service was friendly and well-staffed. We didnít eat or look at a menu. Bombers were available for consumption there or to go; to go prices were $4-$9.50 depending on the beer. Beers were excellent. This place and its beers fly under the radar and thatís all right with me. Great stuff. Re-Rate: All but 1 of the beers on tap on my second visit were different than the first time, which was cool. But the level of quality was a bit lower; I couldnít tell whether this was just the beers themselves or if the across-the-board quality had gone down. Probably the former. I donít know. But I overrated it just a touch my first time around. Still a fun place, dated in both charming and less charming ways.
