Had a trip over on the Ferry from SF.. Family & food orientated and pretty busy on a Friday afternoon. Sit at the bar if there’s room. Good selection of their own beers.

Stopped her heading back down to SF and just after hitting Moylan’s. Similar feel, chain family restaurant that brews beer, but this had more feel and character as it fit the area more. Busy, but got a seat at the bar. Bartender was attentive and answered questions. Had a few samples that were solid with more variety than Moylan’s. Food looked decent, but we opted to not eat here. Prices were good on draft and bottles to go were quite cheap. Good stop and would go again if in the area.

Stopped in here with my wife on our way from SF to my cousin’s place in Martinez. Located in the middle of the Larkspur Landing shopping center, it was a little hard to find. The inside was cool. Lots of drawings from patrons and old MBC stuff lined the wood walls. There were 8 beers on when I was there. Samplers can feature any amount of 4 oz. pours you want. The price was fine and service was friendly and well-staffed. We didn’t eat or look at a menu. Bombers were available for consumption there or to go; to go prices were $4-$9.50 depending on the beer. Beers were excellent. This place and its beers fly under the radar and that’s all right with me. Great stuff.

Stopped here for a quick beer or two. Really cool brewpub with a big bar and lots of tables. Sat at the bar and service was great. Selection of beer was great, they had some draft only beers that were amazing. Didn’t eat. Value on beers was right on par. This is a great place, I’d go back for sure.

This is probably my favorite brewpub in the San Francisco area. Located in the upscale outdoor mall of Larkspur, it’s a bit out of the way but worth the trip. The beers are absolutely first class. Pretty much everything they make is at least above average. The white knuckle, breakout stout, IPA, are all world class. The food is pretty good too. It has a nice bar and plenty of seating. The service has always been good. There is usually at least two or three special beers on tap and they run good happy hours specials as well. Not super exciting, but you can’t beat this place for the quality, especially if you’re like me and love visiting brewpubs where they make their beer on site. A must stop when in San Francisco

Great spot. 9 house taps on this day, and a fairly extensive food menu. 4 oz samplers of all beers for a reasonable price.

(Visited 01/2011): Marin Brewing is located in Larkspur in the Larkspur Landing Shopping Center off Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Private lots are abundant all around the shopping center but the place is perpetually busy. The interior is fairly spacious, with the bar area separated from the dining space. There is an area for groups as well. TVs behind the bar, and dartboards as well. Marin’s beer selection is pretty good. They have around 10-12 of their beers on tap, and offer samples. The beers range in style from standard fare like a Blonde, IPA, Amber etc, plus some more unique offerings like Hoppy Holidaze, and unfiltered APA and a Barley Wine. All of the beers are decent, with a couple being pretty good. Service on a weekday dinner at the bar was good. The bartender was efficient with service and knew their beers well. Our food was good, no complaints there. All in all this is a decent beer spot for the area. I doubt I would consider it a "must-visit" for a San Francisco visit but considering it was in walking distance from our hotel I was happy.

I always think of Marin as the little step brother of the much better Moylans just up the road a stretch in Novato. Marina beers are solid if not amazing although that white knuckle is incredible and the Stinson beach peach is surprisingly delicious. A good place but not a superstar.

Stopped in for a sampler on 8/8/10. Only six beers on the sampler and not all that great. Service was mediocre at best. Didn’t try the food. Not one of the high points of the super awesome NorCal trip 2010.
