72 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 b3shine (178) Cincinnati, Ohio | July 7, 2012 A good little spot on Findlay Market. Only a couple of beers on draft, but it’s a nice little bottle shop (and wine shop) too, and the guy that owns it is nice and friendly. Just wish they had a little more extensive of a selection, but it’s great to stop in while shopping at Findlay Market. | 82 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 JCW (104) Cincinnati, Ohio | February 12, 2012| Updated April 12, 2012 While shopping at Findley Market as a last minute decision I went to Market Wines for a wine tasting, then I saw all sorts of beer. What caught my first was Bells Quinannan Falls Special Lager was one of the beers on tap. As I walked to the back of the store I saw a mother lode of craft beers and imports. The owner knows his beer, although his staff didn’t. For the wine tasting, they also had entertainment(vocalist & guitar) which I enjoyed. One huge down side of going during the wine tasting is the place was packed with people. | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 pellegjr (16) Cincinnati, Ohio | November 21, 2009| Updated April 12, 2012 Small tight shp with a very friendly and helpful staff. Not a huge volume but a great depth of selection, Alesmith, Stone, and Avery are just a few of the items available. Definitely worth a look if you’re in the area/ | 86 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 17/20 foundmd (26) Cincinnati, Ohio | April 18, 2009| Updated October 9, 2011 Market Wines is located in historic Findlay Market (hence the name) just north of downtown Cincinnati. The market itself is filled with many fantastic local venders of fresh foods. This is one of the city’s cultural hubs and should be visited regularly by every Cincinnatian. Market Wines is not a large store by any means, but the limited space designated for beer in the back has some great brews. Focus is mainly on domestics like AleSmith, Avery, Moylans, Southern Tier, and Stone. There’s also a bar for beer tastings and (of course) a respectable hand-picked wine selection. The space is well laid-out, and the owners are friendly. A must for one-stop shopping at Findlay Market. |
