Very decent GR/Michigan/National bottle selection. Has a wide range of singles which is a great plus as it allows you to tuck into several Founders/Dark Horse etc singles without having to buy a full 6 pack.
If you are looking for wine/cheese and upscale grocery items then you are also in the right place.

Nice neighborhood market place. Decent selection, but not anywhere as good as Sicilianos.

Longstanding location in Grand Rapids for beer, wine and some nice food, too. Pretty good selection and great service, though the prices are definitely a bit too high.

Better for wine, but has good food and a decent beer selection. Parking sucks though.

food selection is now greater than beer selection. not a good thing, unless you are looking for food. in which case, the place is excellent. was the premiere beer store in grand rapids several years ago. is now light years behind sicilianos.

Great place to go. Their selection of foods is great, the beer selection is decent. The only problem with martha’s is that a majority of their bottles are COLD. That’s great if you’re planning on drinking them that day, but if you’re someone that likes to age (like myself) their selection doesn’t really matter because 95% of the bottles are cold already.

A gourmet shop with everything you could want from wines, the local gelato (which is very good) and of course beer. They have a strong regional beer stock with reasonable prices. A perfect stop if you are looking from more than just beer. Located next to a bakery which looked very good.

Simply the best place in Grand Rapids to buy beer. Extensive and diverse selection, often having many difficult to find beers; a very large selection of draft beers, if you have use for them; and an extremely knowledgeable staff willing to help you with your selection or to just discuss beer or life. Also, it’s a great high-end grocery and wine shop, and it’s connected to a top-notch bakery. Prices are very slightly higher than in large chains, but it’s worth it.

Been quite some times since I have been here. At the time they did not sell beer in singles. Parking was not so great but it is a crowded area. The staff was super helpful however. I emailed them about wine/liquor called Blonde Lillet (ingredient for a James Bond martini, but that’s another story) and Brugel (an odd rum, also another story) and they had it which saved us a lot of trouble. The wine selection was great as was the cheese and baklava selection. Only real lows were price and beer selection. Overall it was a decent place.
