Visited midday, looking for the latest Boulevard Colloboration. They didnít have it, and even the beer guy (who was attentive, and quite nice) wasnít sure he had heard of it. Despite that, they have a decent selection of beer in the cooler, as well as a few racks in back of large format and import bottles. They had a Boulevard Imperial Stout still in the cooler, 6 months after release, so it might be a good spot to grab the special releases. I havenít been to any Lawrence beer store that really knocked my socks off, this one was no different.

I would have to say the best beer store in Lawrence. Has a mix a six section and they will break singles out if you ask. Most of the good stuff is kept warm. It seems to have slipped a little recently as the mix a six seems to be in disarray and selection is not what it once was. The seems to have coincided with the departure of the beer manager who was there about a year ago. Still a decent bet for what is available.

On another recent visit, I found some cool new Great Divide beers. Apparently they had just been shelved as I had to wait at least 10 minutes to get a six pack priced. Still, a solid place. Went here recently and I was pleasantly surprised. I was able to get some new items with the mix a six and was glad to see you can get as many or as few bottles as you want. I got a few new Belgians at lower prices than I had seen previously. Certainly worth a look if you are in the area.

Spoke with staff and seemed pleasant. Manager was excited about beer and willing to talk. Store seems a little dark and dingy. Cold selection limited, warm selection interesting and plentiful.

Best beer store in Lawrence. Obviously. that means its wont have as large of a selection as KC. But has the largest non-cooler beer space. Best selection of all the other beer stores. More beers, more imports, and SINGLES. All great. There is a clearance section as well, very nice. I donít see a reason to go elsewhere selection wise. Some of the other places may have a buck of a certain importer but nothing else.
Re-rateThis store has gone downhill, I would say its a better store in town but you are better off going to Cork n Barrel or On the Rocks as those are the premier stores in town now. The singles selection is was down, the selves are a mess and they just donít stock as much of a selection.

They have one of the better selections in Lawrence. Some warm singles available. Decent amount of cooler space devoted to craft beer. Micros and a fair selection of Euro brews. Worth a visit if you canít get to the Kansas City area.

Went in to the store finally after by driving by numerous times. It has the look of a big box chain store both inside and out. However it is locally owned and operated and that wasnít the only place I was pleasently suprised. There was a huge selection of wines for Lawrence, but I was not impressed by the beer selection - until I rounded the corner and found the non-cooler selection. This is where the good beer was to be found. I saw De Dolle for the first time even in Kansas, a small handful of vintage beers (ok only about half a dozen, Unibore, JW Lees, etc. but still), the whole KS lineup of Goose Island, Breckenridge, Great Divide, New Belgium, some Rouge etc. Picked up a Normandy Cider I had never seen before.
Talked to the manager (owner wasnít in) and complimented him on his beer selection, he was very appriciative and said that the goal was to get every single beer distributed in the state, and was roughly 100 or so short, trying to add about two beers a week.
Canít remember on what, but I saw a singular Rate Beer card on a beer in the fridge, suprising to see! (If the owner reads here, props to you and your store)
Very good store!
