Finally made the trip to check this place out. Parking is a little steep at the nearby parking decks but thatís Baltimore. We went early on a Saturday so no crowds, very long spacious bar and long table seating in the Baltimore/Maryland themed place. We were given a paper beer menu of the insane number of taps offered (80íish+ that day) and a short menu of bar food. Beer was excellent, food was decent and service was awesome and entertaining. Plenty of TVs to watch some of the Terps game that afternoon. In short worth a trip once if only to snag a very limited beer release or a hard to find import. I can only imagine how busy Maxs is at night, it was getting pretty full even in the early afternoon.

Large bar with plenty of seating that was open either behind a long bar or near it. A few bottles coolers littered with assorted awesome beer and a tap list that was without question phenomenal. They were just coming off a Belgian fest so many of the beers were Belgian or Belgian style. Service was quick and knowledgable but not necessarily super friendly. Got the impression that itís a locals bar and thatís the way they like it. Staff were having long conversations with various regulars. Nothing wrong with that, just isnít the greatest experience when you arenít one of the regulars. I had a shrimp quesadilla which I expected to be sub par for some reason but actually was fantastic. Overall a good bar

This is great bar as far as the quantity and quality of beer goes. Thereís not much to say good or bad on the atmosphere, and honestly, there isnít much to say about this place that hasnít been said already. It is a must stop when in Baltimore.

Well worn ambiance with lots of character. Great beer menu and a knowledgable bartender. Food was nothing special.

Visited to have a few beers while in the area and they do not disappoint. Extensive draft selection with great choices -- main limitation is most likely because of Maryland. Bar service was great -- very prompt and helpful. Pricing is fair for the area and the ambiance is appropriate for a good beer bar.

Interesting crowd on a Friday night. Lots of blue collar and "bro" type people were here - middle-aged union dock-worker/firefighter/retired police guy hitting on out-of-towners next to me.
Draft list was pretty good - about on par with some of the best places in DC. Bottles in fridges look pretty good, but I didnít see a bottle list. It sounds like this place is a huge hit during beer events. Gets pretty packed in the front bar - took a little bit of time to find a nice, not-so-loud spot to order from and enjoy our beers.

Great place. The next best thing to Churchkey in the Baltimore-D.C. area. Tons of taps with all kinds of stuff on. Sample sizes are very cheap here too, with Mikkeller tasters for under $4 - a better deal than Churchkey. Screens all over to watch the World Cup on. Tons of bottles too but I didnít even get to that list. Good service. Definitely a must-hit in Baltimore, in a cool neighbourhood.

Drove up here from College Park, Maryland because it was the top rated place in the state. And yes, they have 140 taps. The beer list looked longer than a sushi menu. This is one of the few places I have failed to try every new beer on tap for me. This was in part because everything was kind of expensive, though. Tasters are priced at around half of what a full pour goes for, and this adds up fast. I had about 13 tastes and a (delicious!) sandwich, and paid about $60. I could not afford to do that 3 more times. Service was solid, very friendly and professional. Cool looking place, pretty spacious, long bar, with a pub-like feel to it. Driving through Baltimore to get to the location was hell. Found free parking in a residential area a few blocks away (had to move the car every 2 hours though). A pretty impressive place overall, but my wallet was crying as I left. Also, driving through Baltimore is just awful.
