In my opinion, one of the best beer bars around. Always great taps, which rotate frequently. Excellent service. Of course, it does have a sports bar ambience, one that attracts fratboys and douchebags on weekends. But, you take the good with the bad. IMaxís makes for one part of any Fells Point Pubcrawl.

Finally got to Maxís for the Rare Beer Night and it was great. Place is rather large with a very long bar, lots of tables, even more tables out of the way of the bar so no one bumps into you. Very knowledgeable staff and the lineup of beers was just ridiculous.

Iím pretty impressed and it usually takes a lot for me to be impressed by a place, my friend Pete from HS has been raving about Maxís to me for years, and so I thought Iíd check it out, met up with him after my girlfriend and I spent the day in Baltimore. Great draft list, really pretty stellar, solid bottle list though not super up to date. Cool food, vegan option for my gal and a tatter bowl for me that almost killed me but I would have died a happy man. This gets 2 big thumbs up in my book!

Visited a few weekends ago. I was in Baltimore for the weekend and had to visit this place on both Friday and Saturday nights. What a great selection and very eclectic. They had a good variety on their 80 tap head and too many bottles to even make a decision. Service was good both nights. Didnít try the food. If I recall, the prices werenít all that bad either. The second night my buddy won a Leineís boat and case of beer which was just the icing on the cake. I will definitely visit again next time in Baltimore.

Stopped in just to grab some bottles to share with family and spent far too long in here. Lots of taps, tons of bottles. Prices were fair.

Nice ambiance. Full of real beer drinkers. Service was just ok but friendly. Great selection on draft and in bottles. Seemed cheap for everything I had. Sure to be my first stop in Baltimore from now on.

Besides throwing an awesome Belgian beer festival with a ridiculous amount of beers on tap, Maxís is just a great beer bar. Awesome tap and bottle selection, great prices (especially the daily specials on bottles), great and friendly service, and a relaxed, spacious bar area. The selection had plenty of rarer tap-only beers and imports, with an extensive and top-notch selection of belgian bottles. Definitely beets anything here in DC. When going back to Baltimore, this will be priority number one.

I really loved this place. Most taps are top notch classics or rarities. Had 3 Italian beers of interest (Birrifico Trol, Grado Plato, Nora), as well as some heavy hitters (barley wines, strong ales). Bottle menu has some rare offerings too. The menu was typical pub fare. The place is big, with a local tavern look. Bartender was knowledgeable and friendly. If you take the Water taxi day pass, they will give you coupons, one of which will give you a 2 for 1 (applicable on most beers, including most of the imports).

Visited Maxís for their Belgian Beer Fest í09, so my ratings may be a bit jaded. Nice pub decor, lots of beer memorabilia, many countries represented. Large front bar, a smaller one in the back, and yet another upstairs. It was the Saturday afternoon/night session of the BBF so the place was PACKED, but service was very fast and friendly. The amount of Belgians on tap and in bottles was staggering... the Trappist burger was pretty good, as well. Will have to revisit during a normal weekend, but my first experience was awesome! Also worth mentioning is that they are now non-smoking.
