Didnt have anything to drink but this place is pretty nice. Clean and the staff was pretty friendly. THe area of town that this is in is filled with bars kinda like this but the beer selection at most places is questionable. At least here they have some stuff that is different.

They have added more taps recently, and now feature a brown, an IPA, a stout, a light, a rasberry light, a wheat (varies with season) and a shandy. At all times they have at least two seasonals on tap as well. Great place to meet and talk with friends or simply people watch. Brown is superb, as are the seasonal porter, scottish ale and Mai Bock.

Very consistent reviews which speak of the consistency of McCoys beer and food. I noticed from my last trip here that the beer quality and range have improved over the past couple of years. The food has always been good.
Parking is spotty and a little dark but there are enough people around to feel safe. Worth a visit when in KCMO.

One of the better brewpubs in town, for certain. Quality menu choices, typically at least one or two interesting if not downright tasty beers on tap. Parking is often non-existent, but that’s about the only real drawback, in my opinion.

Visited June 2005, Friday early evening/dinner rush. They have a nice outdoor beer garden and bar and a nice restaurant inside, along with a set-aside cigar area. Average number of choices, most pretty good. Food was superb.

McCoy’s is a great place for a meal, with decent beer. Set on the corner of Pennsylvania and Westport. Parking is hard to find, because it is in Westport. Inside is dimmly lit. Huge booths. Enormous bar. They have 5 everyday brew, and 2 or 3 seasonals. I’d recommend the IPA or the Seasonals. Food is great. I’ve never had a bad meal here. Must visit when in town.
