Cool place. Basically a wooden lodge with a bar and good food. Often live music. I live about 3 miles from here, so this is sort of my local. Decent beers, good food. Fun place. Loads of outdoor seating. Huge fireplaces during the winter.

The ambiance at this way out tavern is fun and nostalgic. Itís got a great outdoor patio area as well as a little grassy knoll. There is an upstairs and downstairs restaurant area but I actually went out here to see a band play. The setup to see the band was a little cramped in front of the bar. It was VERY difficult to get to the small bar to get a drink. I also could not see a list of their taps anywhere so I just ordered a standard McMenamins stout. The band was fun with good sound but again, it was a crowded dance-area. Since I could not tell their selection it is hard to rate it and since the bar is so short it was hard to get to it so that is where I docked Rock Creek pts.. It is also a ways out in the country from central Portland which makes it a bit difficult to get to especially for those of us who use public transport.
