64 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 13/20 Theydon_Bois (394) The ’Sham, England | September 1, 2012 Visited for lunch on 01/06/12. This place isn’t going to win any beer awards in Denver but I thought it worth listing as it is on the same block at Mondo Vino (off licence) literally 7 doors away which is how I found it.
10 taps, 2 or 3 macro beers, the rest CO local micros. 30 bottles - around half were crap but there were local micro offerings and stuff from further afield such as RR, Left Hand and Sierra Nevada. There was a good buzz around the place and it was fairly packed on the Friday lunchtime we stopped by. Service was decent, although the waitress didn’t know a lot about the beers so had to bring me a couple of bottles over so I could check them out! Food was excellent. In summary - it’s a food place with a dozen or more decent craft offerings near Mondo Vino - don’t go out of your way for this place, but worth knowing about! |
