Stopped in on a Tuesday night, during the USMNT game, found the bar very busy and a private party occupying the left area.. managed to find a seat in the 9th minute, and was promptly served.. large amount of taps with good variety, though the sampler prices are way high, I ordered some nice pints had good service from the bar tender, no issue with noise. the stained glass windows in the dining room are a nice touch, nice upscale neighborhood with little to NO parking, I ended up parking 2 blocks away in an apartment complex as there was no street parking, most guests were dressed in ties FYI

Visited February 2012.
Fucken a, my whole rating was deleted because I clicked submit without putting a score in. Iíll re-write this later. Food is weird for the sake of weird. Not enjoyable, even after trying three different small plates. Trying too hard to be artsy. The beer list on the other hand was pretty good and sitting outside on the patio up against the wall was enjoyable, even with the flies. Prices were high, service was good, and the place is enjoyable all around.

This was a must visit on my recent Texas craft beer trip. Iíve been wanting to check this place out since numerous previous visits to lesser DFW area places came up short. Let me be clear...the Moth did not come up short...it definitely did not disappoint. I actually planned my nights hotel less than a mile away...so that when my wife told me she was too tired to go to a beer bar after a great dinner at Wolfgang Puckís in the Reunion Tower (as I suspected she would)...I was able to drop her off at the hotel and sneak over here for an hour before closing time (LOL!). So...and as the other reviewers have said...love the ambiance...love the stained glass windows...great staff...and very enjoyable...mixed...eclectic crowd. The conversations were almost as good as the beers...which were exceptional. This is a destination beer bar...go out of your way to visit it.

Modern, low-lit, and spacious place in the Design District in Dallas. Really dig the stained glass artwork inside. Service was great and they have a Cicerone on staff, who helped us the entire night. Food was pretty good, although, I didnít get to venture through the menu much. Selection is great for Texas taps and regional offerings, but the prices can be very expensive, especially the flights. I had fun here and its a great place to hang with your friends or have a date night. Definitely worth a stop if you are in Dallas.

It was very busy for dinner and the bar area was packed but I didnít wait too long before I got a seat. Food is phenomenal! Get some. The beer selection pretty good for Dallas but had a lot of common foreign taps on when I was there. This might be because they are owned by Flying Saucer. They also have a pretty good selection of bottles. Bartenders were very busy but were ready to give suggestions.
Not sure why they have valet parking when there is parking all over the place.

On a whistlestop tour of some of the finest pub-restaurants in the US, this was the best. A large room that is divided cleverly to include some discrete areas. It aspires to and delivers standards that treat beer drinkers with huge respect. It is assumed they will want to eat unashamedly well and that they will want to try the whole gamut of beer types, from cask-conditioned to mixed spice, not just the potent, the pungent and the psychotic. Alternatively, for visitors from the UK, it really is rather splendid.

Stopped in with a good sized group for some dinner. Cool building with street parking. Long wall of taps with the names written chalk above the handles which was kink of cool. Nice selection with a wide variety of styles and regional offerings available. we went with about 15 different small plates and all were great. Highlights were the bacon lollipops and shrimp and grits. Probably one the top ten meals I have ever hap, and easily the best I have had at a place listed on ratebeer.

Visited for lunch on a lazy Friday afternoon. The Meddlesome Moth is quite smart looking, itís certainly not your average dive. The ambience is quite relaxed, despite the slightly upscale surroundings. The tap selection was pretty good, about 30 taps. Despite the large selection, I would have preferred to see a few more local Texas offerings. The bottle list wasnít particularly interesting, well appointed bit lacking in "unobtainium". Of course, this could be due to Texas less-than-relaxed beer distribution. The service was very good. The bar staff were happy to provide sample pours, and I was even given unsolicited samples from the bartender one he realized my interest in beer. The food was very good, and not bad value. Overall, a pretty nice place!

Visiting Dallas for work for 5 years now and was drawn to the Moth like a...er...moth to a flame. Great beer selection and the food was fantastic. My table enjoyed the bangers and mash, ribs and steak. I highly recommend the bacon lollipops!

My favorite bar in the Dallas area. The Moth lands some of the hardest to get beers, pairs them with some of the areaís best gastropub fare, serves them all to you as well as anywhere around, and looks and feels cooler than any bar in town. Great art and lighting accentuate the well above average beer selection. This is the areaís best beer bar.
