| 62 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 13/20 Hank1980 (42) Athens, Georgia | June 11, 2008| Updated May 4, 2009 New location in the old Comadres space, next door to Doc Chey’s. Clean restaurant with good stuff on tap and in bottles. Visited Friday and had a great pizza and Terrapin IBA. Good stuff all around. A solid pizza place. | 70 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 5/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 14/20 donrajin (47) Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina | May 16, 2006| Updated May 4, 2009 They had a pretty decent selection of beer. The food menu left a little to be desired. As you would expect pizza was the best to choose from. It was good by the way. I went for the beer anyway and was quite pleased. It was pretty much the college atmosphere. | 80 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 16/20 NachlamSie (447) Tennessee | February 26, 2006| Updated May 4, 2009 Now, this place is the best in Athens. They have over 100 beers available and they are chosen quite well. The bartender really appreciated a person who was interested in drinking good beer and he made friendly banter throughout the night. A unique thing is this place brews their own beer even though they can’t legally sell it. After talking to the bartender for a while though, he volunteered a glass of their 90.1 shilling Scotch ale to me. Certainly couldn’t refuse that. It was awesome. | 82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 16/20 ATOmemphis (14) Franklin, Tennessee | February 1, 2006| Updated March 12, 2006 Great feel to this place. Love Athens to begin with - GO DAWGS. Beer list is impressive. The food rocks, the parking does not. Lots of local brewers available. I try to visit it when I’m in town because its always a good time. | 86 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 17/20 stiffy42j (2) Brunswick, Georgia | September 14, 2005| Updated March 12, 2006 I love tis place. You can always count on their solid beer list and always be surprised (in a good way) by their draught specials. Sweetwater and Terrapin are a big hit here and not just because they are local but because they are pretty good. They had Brooklyn Chocolate Stout on draught and that made me pretty happy! So go down to M.M. have some calzones and pizza then go watch those BullDawgs play some football. GO Dawgs! Sickem!! P.S. Also try the Globe..its a cool Irish pub around the corner, there are some others "downtown" worth stoppin by too! | 64 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 14/20 PorterPounder (244) Tallahassee, Florida | June 15, 2005| Updated March 12, 2006 Visited here back in May of ’03 - sure it hasn’t changed much since then. Had about 25 or so on tap - Terrapin Rye was my choice - excellent. A few locals, Sweetwater, Dogwood (probably gone now!) and Terrapin. Common imports - slew of German/British/Belgian and a few flagships of countries - Italy, Vietnam etc. Good standard pub grub - pizza is specialty. Friendly, energetic wait staff - mostly Univ of Georgia students. Worth a stop. |
