I always enjoy Mellow Mushrooms, but this one had an extra dose of hippiness and the pizza was better than any previous Mushroom I’d visited. Fairly unastounding beer selection, but there were some good regional options.

Not that great compared to the few other Mellow Mushroom locations I’ve visited, but still a decent place. The tap selection is varied, but it’s all typical favorites. Even the local taps were all Terrapin regulars that you can find all over. If you only have a day in Savannah, skip it.

Another chain - yep, it’s a Mellow Mushroom. Still, nothing really wrong with that, but ya seen one... As usual, fair selection, solid pizza, decent service. Can’t complain.

We’ve been to the Mellow Mushroom in Charleston several times, so decided to stop in for lunch here in Savannah while on vacation. The place itself has that 60’s quirkiness, which is fun, but it also wasn’t the cleanest restaurant I’ve been to. Food was good. The beer selection was pretty weak with a small group of micros and the rest fairly standard national beers. Certainly not the 20 taps and 30-50 bottles listed here. Maybe 20 beers overall total. Worth a visit but not a second one.

One of the worse MMs. Beer quality poor. Annoying children and messy ambiance. Overwhelmed servers.

Weak as Mushrooms go. Yeah, there’s kids and stuff but the beer selection was very limited and half the stuff we bought wasn’t even fresh. We even had stale beer from the "New Arrivals" menu on the chalkboard. Go figure.

Visited recently on a trip. Decent selection of draft and bottled beer, but I was disappointed that there were not more local beers on tap, ones that I cannot buy at my local Mellow in Florida. Settled on a few perpetual favorites, enjoyed the cool May afternoon outside, and enjoyed a snack. Pizza is some of the best that you will find. Definitely worth a trip if you are in the area.

Visited Memorial Day weekend 08. Stopped in to buy a t shirt and ended up staying for a couple of beers. Pizza is always great here. This location has a lot of college students due to the proximity to SCAD. Beer selection was good, lots of Sweetwater and Terrapin plus guest beers. Happy Hour every week day from 4-7 ($1 12oz draft $2.75 32oz draft) is a great deal. Bottle selection is solid also. Great place to stop when in town.

Visited April 22 2006 with my mother and brother for a late-ish dinner. Vaguely hippie-ish well-lit and spacious interior with large comfy booths....pleasant if not the most efficient or smart service.....really quite good pizza, crispy and chewy with quality ingredients, and a decent, fresh Caesar salad....tap list included 5 or 6 locals, I had Terrapin Rye and a Paulaner hefe both served in shaker glasses too cold but what do you expect? About 30 bottles....bartender told me the bottle list was low right now and sometimes was much bigger. Better beer list than just about anywhere in this town, I’m guessing, and worth a vist for the pizza. Great neighborhood, with a couple of bookstores, cool tobacco shop, awesome coffee shop and Six Pence Pub all within a block or two.
