This is a nicer, large and open Mellow Mushroom located in downtown Tuscaloosa. There was a decent selection of regional brews available, though the chalk board section titled "Newest Brews" was inaccurate. I did not eat on this visit, so I will have to revisit and update my review following that.

Not much different that other Mellow’s I’ve visited. If you haven’t been, the pizzas are quite good for a chain. Larger than average number of taps for a pizza joint with the bulk of them being local craft offerings. Some of the bar staff didn’t know that much about the craft offerings. Talking to the bar manager, he’d like to have all 30+ taps solely Alabama craft offerings, which would be cool. Wouldn’t be my first pick if I was going out for a beer, but not a bad place at all.

Similar to the rest of the MM chain, good pizza and several local beers available, had the Big Als available here

Visited on a busy Friday night last weekend. The place had the vibe of a pizza bakery with a bar in a college town, which is exactly what it is. Half the bar was drinking PBR tall boys and conversing louder than the rest of the place. Waited about 20 minutes for a table. They had a fair sampling of the beers available in Alabama. The bartender could only describe my Good People Coffee Oatmeal stout as "pretty good," then served it in a frozen plastic mug. When we got to the table, the beer was served in a plastic Solo cup. I also ordered a beer twice that the waitress never brought. This place was overall not bad, but that is made worse by the fact that they could be awesome.
