Not much to add to what has been said. The selection of interesting beer is limited. Not that interesting for the usual beer traveller. The Stiegl Hausbier Edition is the most interesting thing here, as it can be hard to come by in Vienna. They also have some gusswerk beers. They also have some Belgium and UK beers. Prices are pretty good. The place can be actually a bit complicated to navigate. The beer shelf was up the stairs, if I remember correctly.

Itís a Whole Foods (like the US version). Very organic/fresh/upscale, etc. Beer selection isnít all that much, but when you need beer, this should do.

The gourmet spin-off of this big supermarket chain that has a surprisingly extensive beer selection. Comes close to the famous "Meinl am Graben", but cheaper! Some great Belgian stuff like Orval, Chimay or Gouden Carolus and some Austran craft brews like Brauhaus Gusswerk or the Stiegl Hausbier editions. Considering the selection and the prices definitely the best supermarket in Vienna for buying beer - which isnít that difficult though...

This is the flag ship store of Merkur in the City Center of Vienna next to Stephansdom. All in all it is a quite normal super market, but the have a better beer selection then others. For example the have the monthly special beer from Stiegl, the Szigeti Champagner Beer and some british (Fullers) or belgium beers.
