Fun little pub/antique store in a small Flordia town. Owner is a real character and great guy to talk to. Beer is spread out amongst the store and it is worth it to check out the more rarer offerings. Besides getting some great beers the last time I visited, I also got a great set of Ping irons, so win/win.
This is such a great place! Quaintly unique and perfect, itís an antique shop and my favorite place to enjoy a craft brew. An odd combination that really works! The owner is a wonderful host and is very knowledgeable of all craft beers as well as the staff are super friendly & helpful!
They often have fun events as well as live music! I highly recommend this great hang out to kick back and relax while sipping one of the many brews on tap or from the wide variety of bottled beer in the cooler.
I have to visit this place AT LEAST once a week!
This place is a local gem. Iím actually a little embarrassed how long it took me to initially go. The idea of an antique/beer place seemed odd and it doesnít look like much from the outside. But Iíve been back several times since and will continue to go. Inside thereís stuff all over the place but thatís part of the charm. There are couches, tables/chairs, two small bars, so pick your spot. Or just stand and mingle around. The owner is very friendly and passionate about beer. On at least a couple of occasions heís given me a free sample of something just because he wanted me to try it. And Iím by no means a regular. He doesnít have tons of taps but what he does get is high quality. Iíve been really impressed at some of the stuff he gets. Thereís a cooler with bottles and a shelf with bottles kept warm you can purchase to go. Prices are very good on the draft stuff. Donít judge it by itís cover; give this place a shot if you havenít already.

...interesting place definitely worth visiting. Had a good selection on tap, and in bottles. Noble Rot was great, as was the McChoufe. Had some vintage stuff on tap too, which was nice. The owner was really cool, and good to talk to. One of the other guys working there was extremely wasted, more so than anyone I have ever seen working anywhere. I ended up buying something from the antique store as well as plenty of beer. Iíll be back next time Iím in the area.
RR: Went back a few weeks ago, nothing good on tap, shit like Sea Dog, I mean come on. Then ended up getting banned from there, so, if you donít like fags, donít go there. Youíll get kicked out, and put in a thumb lock, hahahahaa. Fuk you guy, Iíll take my money elsewhere.
Mermaid Juice is a uniquely wonder place located in the heart of Mount Dora. The atmosphere when you first walk in is old world charm. The charm not only flows from the antiques and beer, but from Daneaux Narrow, the owner. You are instantly invited into Daneauxís word of craft beer and are treated like his oldest friend.
Daneauxís vision of a cleverly disguised a craft beer bar in the middle of an antique store is pulled off amazingly. This gives the bar a great character and depth.
Moving past the vintage items youíll quickly notice there at 17+ active beer taps all with craft beer. Each tap usually moves pretty fast so there is always a great and varying selection of draft beer. If your lucky, youíll get a well aged vintage craft beer on tap. Just recently Daneaux was serving a 2010 Southern Teir Mocha Stout.
If you can make you way through the taps youíll notice there are dozens of craft beers bottled. Many of these bottles are aged or rare. Most frankly are hard to find anyplace else.
I encourage anyone who reads this to venture down to Mermaid Juice and stay for a while. Youíll find your self going back again and again.
Hospitality was second to none - easily one of the best places to visit in Central Florida. The beer selection was superb, and I was treated like an old friend. Even my girlriend who doesnít drink beer found something she liked here!
Great place to try some new beers or revisit your old favorites.
Some of the beers he has you canít even get at large establishments. These include beers from well-established breweries as well as homebrews made by the areaís brewing greats.
A food review is applicable since the Cajun boiled peanuts (boiled in Chimay beer when I was there last -the beer was repurposed after accidentally being frozen) were amazingly tasty. If youíre not a fan of Cajun peanuts do not worry as they were just hot enough that you could keep eating them but not start sweating.
The atmosphere is inviting and there are many wonderful antiques to look at while sipping a beer that cannot be purchased anywhere else in the state of Florida.
Service is top notch at this establishment. The owner will take care of you like you both have been friends for years.
Value is great! Prices of the beer, peanuts, and antiques are fair and I felt like I got a great deal for my money.
A draft selection of over 11 beers and others in bottles make this place a go to any time youíre thirsty.
Next time youíre in Mount Dora I highly suggest checking the place out, grabbing a beer, and looking at the antiques
