We love this place. The service is excellent. Daneaux, Phil and Bill do a great job of suggesting beers and there is always a great selection.

This place is a local gem. I’m actually a little embarrassed how long it took me to initially go. The idea of an antique/beer place seemed odd and it doesn’t look like much from the outside. But I’ve been back several times since and will continue to go. Inside there’s stuff all over the place but that’s part of the charm. There are couches, tables/chairs, two small bars, so pick your spot. Or just stand and mingle around. The owner is very friendly and passionate about beer. On at least a couple of occasions he’s given me a free sample of something just because he wanted me to try it. And I’m by no means a regular. He doesn’t have tons of taps but what he does get is high quality. I’ve been really impressed at some of the stuff he gets. There’s a cooler with bottles and a shelf with bottles kept warm you can purchase to go. Prices are very good on the draft stuff. Don’t judge it by it’s cover; give this place a shot if you haven’t already.

...interesting place definitely worth visiting. Had a good selection on tap, and in bottles. Noble Rot was great, as was the McChoufe. Had some vintage stuff on tap too, which was nice. The owner was really cool, and good to talk to. One of the other guys working there was extremely wasted, more so than anyone I have ever seen working anywhere. I ended up buying something from the antique store as well as plenty of beer. I’ll be back next time I’m in the area.

Mermaid Juice is a uniquely wonder place located in the heart of Mount Dora. The atmosphere when you first walk in is old world charm. The charm not only flows from the antiques and beer, but from Daneaux Narrow, the owner. You are instantly invited into Daneaux’s word of craft beer and are treated like his oldest friend. Daneaux’s vision of a cleverly disguised a craft beer bar in the middle of an antique store is pulled off amazingly. This gives the bar a great character and depth. Moving past the vintage items you’ll quickly notice there at 17+ active beer taps all with craft beer. Each tap usually moves pretty fast so there is always a great and varying selection of draft beer. If your lucky, you’ll get a well aged vintage craft beer on tap. Just recently Daneaux was serving a 2010 Southern Teir Mocha Stout. If you can make you way through the taps you’ll notice there are dozens of craft beers bottled. Many of these bottles are aged or rare. Most frankly are hard to find anyplace else. I encourage anyone who reads this to venture down to Mermaid Juice and stay for a while. You’ll find your self going back again and again.

Hospitality was second to none - easily one of the best places to visit in Central Florida. The beer selection was superb, and I was treated like an old friend. Even my girlriend who doesn’t drink beer found something she liked here!

Great place to try some new beers or revisit your old favorites. Some of the beers he has you can’t even get at large establishments. These include beers from well-established breweries as well as homebrews made by the area’s brewing greats. A food review is applicable since the Cajun boiled peanuts (boiled in Chimay beer when I was there last -the beer was repurposed after accidentally being frozen) were amazingly tasty. If you’re not a fan of Cajun peanuts do not worry as they were just hot enough that you could keep eating them but not start sweating. The atmosphere is inviting and there are many wonderful antiques to look at while sipping a beer that cannot be purchased anywhere else in the state of Florida. Service is top notch at this establishment. The owner will take care of you like you both have been friends for years. Value is great! Prices of the beer, peanuts, and antiques are fair and I felt like I got a great deal for my money. A draft selection of over 11 beers and others in bottles make this place a go to any time you’re thirsty. Next time you’re in Mount Dora I highly suggest checking the place out, grabbing a beer, and looking at the antiques

I was lucky enough to visit this place yesterday, the Owner is awesome and very knowledgeable. For a while I forgot I was in an antique store too. The beer world needs more places and people like this
