Had to visit during Copenhagen Beer Festival 2011. Very modest-looking place from the outside, only small Mikkeller-labels on the window identify the place. Looks like a beer cellar. I was there at 18:00 and the place was quite full already, so there was quite a lot of noise but didnít affect the ambiance too much. Beer selection was excellent, wouldnít ask for more from the tap list. Lots of bottles as well. This is a must visit place for all beer geeks.

I was there wednesday and thursday in the festival week so it was crowded. Fantastic selection on both tap and bottle. The staff know their beers and are helpful. Prices on the very special stuff are high where as the more regular beers are fairly priced. The toilets could do with an upgrade. Overall a brilliant place mostly because of the selection.

Visited on the festival Friday and expected crowdedness - but that wasnít the case. Seems like that there is regularly steady crew and other Danish that pops in for a nice drafts. Great selection 20 rotating taps, even do we missed out on the Thursday 3F releases :-) (Gumball they had that one on the fare). Great Cantillons, Fou Foune on Tap was heaven and some nice Mikkeller drafts as well. Laidback staff. Broken toilets. Easy to access - on the way from the festival towards the central station (and our hotel). Watch out for the ladies of the night the might offer you more than beer :-)

Superb bar with a fantastic selection (at Danish prices of course). Service is good though does slow down when it gets busy. Absolute must visit!

Good atmosphere. A lot of unusual beers, especially from the U.S. (Three Floyds, Stiillwater, Stone ...); but also from the Netherlands: De Molen and Struise and of course a lot Mikkeller brews.
In other words, an unusually high bar with an interesting selection of bottled beers and especially on tap.

The service is great. Great guy behind the bar. Got there early, so we got a lot of time to chat about beer and it was very nice to talk with a guy like that. We even had the chance to take a look at the storage room with all the beers.
20 beers on tap, 9 of them Mikkellers.
Was able to have a little taste of them, before ordering a real glass, is really nice, because you canít know ahead if youíre going to like the beer or not.
The price is a bit high, but Copenhagen is a expensive city, so understandable.
Must to when youíre a beer fan/lover/geek in Copenhagen!
UPDATE: New bartender, friendly guy as well. Still a great place. Beers on tap arenít that great, rather mediocre beers.

Itís a bit hard to find as the sign is difficult to see. Quite expensive beers but this is Copenhagen! Amazing choice and variety of beers! A must see in CPH

A hard place to rate. Catch it at the right time and itís awesome. On a week day afternoon youíll find a knowledgeable bartender with time to explain the idea behind the world class beer youíre drinking. However on a busy weekend evening you just want to finish your rating and get out, as itís crowded, slow, noisy, hot and damp. World class beer on tap, and unique stuff all the time - served way too cold though, even the witbier is too cold and an imperial stout the same temperature. World class beer is expensive, which is fine, but for a night out or an after-work pint, the session beers canít compete with equally good and more affordable places in Copenhagen.

I went to Copenhagen for two days this was one of my first stops about four hours in.
First of all I pulled up and thought I had come to the wrong place. When you think of Mikkeller I was thinking some big fancy place, totally crazy and trendy atmosphere etc, in reality not even close. It is a hole in the place, located on the basement with a little lettering in the window, really easy to miss. You walk down and its a really small place about 10 tables at max with bar seats. White everything, very Euro look, nothing much on the walls to look at but nice and cozy...They have 10 Mikkeller, 5 guests, and a vintage list that is very impressive, tons of rare mikkeller, rare lambics, dark lord 07, 08, 09, you get the idea. The quality is all top notch stuff, except for the draft Mikkellersís, I kid sort of. They had a nice selection of beers all varied so you could taste all of them, which I did naturally. Just not a huge mikkeller fan yet, too much like dfh to me, all gimmick. Mostly, that proved to be true as a lot of the beers I tried just werenít very good, nice tries in theory but lacking in execution. There were some exceptions beer geek bacon being one of them. This isnít a referndum on Mikkeller beer so Iíll finish by saying that is a great bar to go to and super cheap, I spent about 45 us dollars to try 13 beers. A must place to go, if just only to see the vintage list.
