Absolutely stunning place which combines a superb ambiance with world-class beers served by knowledgeable and enthusiastic people. "Probably the best bar in town" (free after Carlsberg advert :P)

Visited the place many times during 2010 Copenhagen Beer, both day and late night. Cozy place, and will be fantastic when not overcrowded. The staff knows their beer, and the beer selection is fantastic. If you´re out for a pilsner, this is the best place in town - if you´re looking for world class beers, this is the best place in town.

Small place, but a must visit when in Copenhagen. Very good beer selection, world class. Lot’s of Mikkeller brews of course. Good thing is that we were allowed to sample some bottles brought ourselve. Great ambiance and service.

Lots of great beers on tap, and also a bunch of bottles (including some very rare vintage beers). The value is hard to rate, since the beers are very rare. Staff was friendly. The only bad thing about this place is it’s size. It got very crowded when I visited this bar a friday night.

Fantastic rotating tap and bottle selection! Best I’ve ever experienced! Friendly staff with a laid back attitude. The venue is small with white painted brick walls a black painted bar and simple hand made wooden furniture. Very crowded and loud when I was there during the 2010 Copenhagen Beer Festival. No doubt a place to drop in for all my Copenhagen visits to come.

Just opened. A place that undoubtly will be one of the absolute beer bars in the world. At the opening there were release of 28 new Mikkeller beers, and exclusive brews from Närke, De Molen, Three Floyds, 3 Fonteinen and more. Dark Lord on tap next to Alpha King, Girardin and new barreld aged stuff from Mikkeller - All the rare bottles from De Dolle, Ale Smith, Cantillon, De Molen, Jolly Pumpkin, Westvleteren, Lost Abbey, Närke, Three Floyds with vertical Dark Lord. The list goes on and that is pretty damn cool and second to none that I know of. Add to that some prices that are fairThe staff are hand picked and have worked all the best beer places in Copenhagen. The place is designed from A-Z by the Danish designers Femmes Regianales, that have focused on the colours black, gold and mint-green. The walls are decorated with handpainted pictures of ingredience used for brewing, and fresh hops around in the bar leaves a nice aroma of Mikkellers trade mark - fresh hops. When seated you will find that not two chairs are the same and everything are handmade by the designs. Awesome interior. If you are not in to beers (you propably wouldn´t be here) there are some nice selected red wines and german rieslings and more exclusive whiskeys and bourbons. Snackwise there are selected cheeses, sausages, olives, nuts and crisps. This bar is the top of the pops period.

The two house brews are great strong hoppy flavored relatively low alc session beers. It is very easy to quickly see what’s on tap (price/size/strength) with a giant menu 2 metres away from where you stand and order. Ambitious collection of bottles, with some pretty outstanding good and rare stuff. Selection has kept its high level since opening, and intersting and rare stuff often rotates in. Prices reflect how rare the botltes are though, still Reasonable prices - i paid DKK140 for a 66cl (or was it 75cl) bottle of hottenroth berliner weisse. pretty close to the central station makes it a good choice for the busy traveller. Website shows what’s on the taps. Good service. As the bar is quite small, the noise level can go pretty high on the busiest days, although it seems to have gotten better. They often have some kind of event (usually a brewer visiting, or a themed tap selection) and often You get small free samples at these events. Some of these samples are quite seldom, near impossible to get stuff. Customers who are uncertain if they like a beer get to taste a small sampler to see what it is. I’m a vegetarian but i tried a little piece sausage.. spicy. tasted good. Still haven’t tried the cheese which looks yummy. Food rating probably goes higher when i try the cheese. Value is high cause You get so much free stuff from time to time. Their coffee should be world class, haven’t tried it yet.

Centrally located, though a bit far from most other beer places I tend to visit in the city. If you’re only in CPH for a short while, but will be close to teh central station, optimal for a quick beer. Visited Friday night May 7, 2010, after the Copenhagen beer festival. Was way too crowded, hot and bad air to stay. We basically got inside the door and could look around, then left. Went back a bit earlier on Saturday May 8, when the festival was still going strong. Arrived around 21.30 or so. Still rather crowded, warm and bad air, but at least possible to stand around for a beer each. Nice selection of beers, fair beer prices (for this city and the beers at hand), good staff. Could be real cozy with a little less people, guess I’ll go back next time I’m in Copenhagen and hope for less ppl. Perhaps could do without the candles when it’s so many customers, don’t really need the extra heat and less oxygen from them at that time, even though it looks nice of course. Didn’t eat (not sure you can?) and didn’t stay long enough to try out the restrooms. Could perhaps do with a limit on visiting custormers? Or an increase in ventilation. But all in all, looked very nice and I will go back for sure.

Very nice place with an impressive selection of beers. I did enjoy Girardin Jonge Lambik on tap and Nøgne Ø Dark Horizon First Edition from bottle during my visit. 325 dkk for the latter. Extremely crowded on a Friday evening during Copenhagen Beer Festival, but I guess it will always be crowded on a Friday evening. I will visit again. Minus for the bad air. Good central location, about 15 minutes walk from Tivoli.
