superb tap list for sure, though not being a huge fan of Mikkeller leaves me fewer options. vintage bottles were either all gone on my visit due to fest-goers in town, or the staff simply blew me off (read: lied) about availability likely because they’ve been hounded in recent days for vintage bottles. so, if you know the secret handshake or perhaps grab the bartender’s time and bug them enough, you’ll have good luck. but if they tell you something is out, they’re likely not being completely honest. that’s how it goes, though. ambiance would be better if it weren’t packed with beer geeks all the time.

Made it here twice while on a 1 week business trip to Copenhagen. First time I was there, they had 20 different single hop IPAs on tap, second time was a more normal selection of Mikkeller beers and guest taps (including Cantillon Kriek and FFF Zombie Dust). We were there at around 6pm both nights and finding seats wasn’t too difficult at that time. And since it wasn’t so crowded the service was excellent - bartenders were friendly and willing to describe any of the beers that were on tap in detail. I wouldn’t call this venue a great value though - 35 DKK (~$6.50) for a small glass is more expensive than buying a bottle of the same beer stateside. Very cool ambiance at the bar. All of my coworkers were very glad I dragged them along with me. Definitely worth visiting when you’re in Copenhagen

2 room local at below-street level. Excellent choice of tapped beers that appear on a huge board behind the bar. Beer menus scattered around the tables giving the bottled selection. There was a couple of Mikkleller’s brews that were listed but not available which was the only downside. The barman went hunting for them in the back but no luck. Visited mid afternoon so avoided the stories of overcrowding. Unsure about the decor, think mock student apartment. Better use of the space could be made.

Visited numerous times during my trip to CPH for CBC. It’s a small hipster basement bar located a 5 minute walk away from the main Copenhagen train station. 20ish taps dispense an extensive selection of Mikkeller and beer from some of the other best breweries in the world – Three Floyds, Girardin, Pizza Port and the Kernel. The Zombie dust was delicious! Tap turnaround is also pretty quick. The bottle list is astounding – you could get lost in it. Hill Farmstead, Three Floyds, Alesmith, vintage lambic (including both J&J’s) to name but a few….. Ok it’s not the cheapest but this is Copenhagen we are speaking about. The only issue I have is when it gets so busy it takes ages to get served and at one point they told me that I couldn’t order from the bottle list for 20 minutes! Anyway this is still one of the best beer bars out there. A must-visit.

Place is really too small given its popularity. Impossible to sit and waiting time is way too long to have a beer (service at the bar). Beer selection is unbeatable and the ambiance is very cool due the amount of beer aficionados hanging around.

Very small, super cramped place packed at night but chill during the day. Ferocious tap list keg turnover. 20+ beers on tap changing out almost daily. Enormous bottle list. Mikkeller X BA 2007 Imperial Stout was on the list for $800. Mikkeller X Calvados Imperial Stout was on there for $140. J&J Rose and J&J Blauw were both on the list for $180 each which is sort of a steal in my opinion for the Rose. Pretty sure so was Cantillon Blabaer and some other rarities but priced at equilibrium. Staff is knowledgeable, quick. Prices fair for Copenhagen. Certainly not cheap. I went here 3 days out of 6 in CPH. So that gives you an idea of how quickly the tap list changed. Cantillon Vigneronne on tap is hard to beat. "Food" offered is a medley of very nice smoked or super spicy sausages and sweet gherkins. Very nice palate shockers/cleansers. No real food, just those things. Very trendy place. A must visit. Homely. Loved it.

Came here on a couple of evenings during CBC. Place was absolutely rammed on both occasions! Guessing and hoping it’s a bit more chilled out normally which could lead to some higher scoring. The place itself is pretty small with minimalistic decor and some random furnishings - the drawers attached to the walls to use as tables opitimise this and could be easily described as "Scandanavian" decor if I was looking for a stereotypical simile. The "mikkeller" artwork decortaing the walls is quite interesting though. The beer selection is excellent, 20+ draft taps and a bottle cellar anyone would be proud of. Unfortunately, the prices are up there and even when you take into account you are in Denmark! Definately worth a visit though if in Copenhagen.

Visited multiple times during CBC week. The bar’s located in a convenient location not far from the center of town. Located in a basement location, it’s small but well decorated. The ambience is nice and relaxed. The service is prompt if you actually get to the bar. While I didn’t find to much trouble ordering, a friend of mine spent 20 or 30 minutes waiting to get served on Saturday night. Obviously a few more staff wouldn’t hurt at peak times. Another friend tried to order a bottle from the cellar and was rebuffed as it was ’too busy’. The selection is truly fantastic if you ignore the prices. Bottles include vintage Dark Lord, Hill Farmstead, Blabaer, and other rare sours. I enjoyed expensive pours from the likes of Three Floyds, Girardin, and of course Mikkeller while I was there. The food menu is small - just cheese and sausage. It is pretty tasty, though. Overall, a very good bar that I’m sure I’d visit often if I lived in Denmark. If they hired a few more staff members, this place would be legitimately world class.

Small and crowded. Not much room to get around and quite the cluster at the bar when you finally get there. Service was good and quick though. Prices were a bit steep on some of the offerings. But there was tons to select from. I could go all the time if I lived up there.

We visited on the Wednesday night before CBC and the Sunday night after it, I’m sure this is an entirely different place when it’s crowded, but it was chill and mellow for both of our visits. Staff were terrific, and the beer, of course was very good. Pricey, but that’s to be expected. Around CBC, this was the Who’s Who hangout for brewers and beer personalities.
