Amazing selection, 20 taps changing all the time. Great events. This is beer geeks paradise. The 3 Floyds event was great and all the other days I visited I had trouble decidign what to drink first. Congrats Mikkel for a great Bar !

It’s difficult to know what to say about the Mikkeller bar. We visited several times during the Copenhagen Beer Festival week and probably saw it at both its best and its worst. There was a real buzz – it was like being at a private party with all your favourite beer friends and for me this was great but, had I not known anyone there, I think I’d have felt a little excluded.
It was also very crowded, with people spilling out into the street (and being corralled back in again when the police arrived asking us to keep the noise down), and there can’t be a lot of space at the best of times. The bar is in an unassuming basement quite close to the fabled red light district. There are two rather bare, minimalist rooms with a few tables and a couple of nooks and crannies at the back. There’s a high bar and low lighting.
Needless to say, the beer on offer is outstanding. The 20 beers are listed on the blackboard – mainly Mikkeller with a few tremendous guests.
I was so sorry to hear that the Mikkeller bar and Olbutikken were badly damaged in the floods at the weekend (Saturday 2 July 2011). This is very bad news indeed, and I send all good wishes to Mikkel and Jeppe for the recovery. I understand that, as of yesterday (Tuesday 5 July), Olbutikken is open again but Mikkeller is still closed.

The ultimate beer geek hipster place in Copenhagen. Minimalistic in outlook as well as in size, this little cellar bar carries one of Scandinavias finest selection on their 20 taps and a great assortment of bottles. Quite a substantial amount of rare beers on the meny, as Mikkeller’s network in the beer world allows for chilled gems not available in many other places. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and forthcoming - expect a few samples if you hang out for a while and business is slow. :-) The downside is the sheer capacity of the place; in times of great activity such as festivals and other happenings, Mikkeller Bar is packed beyond the brim and often pouring out onto the sidewalk. In times of rare releases, celebrity visits and such, expect to wait in line for an hour or more to get your share of whatever nectar they’re dishing out. Still, this is a must-stop for any beer geek visiting Copenhagen and an absolute monolith in the new Scandinavian craft beer culture.

Came here several times during the Copenhagen Beer Festival. Great beer bar. Food gets top marks because the dry sausage they have is incredible. Selection gets top marks for all the 3 Floyds they had on tap the first night.

Nice, small, sober place without being sterile. Despite coming there during the Copenhagen Beer Festival, we managed to get a table. Fantastic selection on tap, perhaps a bit to narrow if I have to complain about something. A must place when you are in Copenhagen.

Had to visit during Copenhagen Beer Festival 2011. Very modest-looking place from the outside, only small Mikkeller-labels on the window identify the place. Looks like a beer cellar. I was there at 18:00 and the place was quite full already, so there was quite a lot of noise but didn’t affect the ambiance too much. Beer selection was excellent, wouldn’t ask for more from the tap list. Lots of bottles as well. This is a must visit place for all beer geeks.

I was there wednesday and thursday in the festival week so it was crowded. Fantastic selection on both tap and bottle. The staff know their beers and are helpful. Prices on the very special stuff are high where as the more regular beers are fairly priced. The toilets could do with an upgrade. Overall a brilliant place mostly because of the selection.

Visited on the festival Friday and expected crowdedness - but that wasn’t the case. Seems like that there is regularly steady crew and other Danish that pops in for a nice drafts. Great selection 20 rotating taps, even do we missed out on the Thursday 3F releases :-) (Gumball they had that one on the fare). Great Cantillons, Fou Foune on Tap was heaven and some nice Mikkeller drafts as well. Laidback staff. Broken toilets. Easy to access - on the way from the festival towards the central station (and our hotel). Watch out for the ladies of the night the might offer you more than beer :-)

Good atmosphere. A lot of unusual beers, especially from the U.S. (Three Floyds, Stiillwater, Stone ...); but also from the Netherlands: De Molen and Struise and of course a lot Mikkeller brews.
In other words, an unusually high bar with an interesting selection of bottled beers and especially on tap.
