Visited for the first time May 13, 2012. A good way to recycle the Thompson-Perkins Mill, not far from the war museum and a good walking distance from Brasseurs du Temps in Gatineau. «By the way, do not rely on the Google map, the brewpub is via the Ottawa River Parkway, close to the Portage Bridge». Two floors of dining room each with a bar, two terraces with views of the river and dam, fairly easy to park your car. Typical selection of Mill St. with a few beers brewed on site and a few bottles, the menu is varied enough to suit all tastes. Good and welcome addition to the brewing scene in the region

This is truly a hard place to rate. Located close to the Ottawa River, within walking distance from the Parliament and other tourist attractions, it is a modern pub-cum-restaurant. I visited it on an early Tuesday evening and it was absolutely packed. The staff are neither friendly nor quick to serve but some of them know something about their beer. The selection includes several taps of own produce, mostly quite satisfactory. Not very expensive, especially for the generous flights, but I do not feel like going there again. Been there, done that. Did not try the food, but it looked okay. There is a beer store in one of the rooms, offering both bottled beer from the brewpub and some ususal merchandise (T-shirts, mugs, etc.)

Pleasant old stone building in a prime location. It’s large inside and clearly designed to cater to large groups, so don’t expect anything intimate here. I settled with a flight of beers but skipped on eating. Check out the seasonal taps for something a little more interesting.

Located in a large stone building not far from the government area. Plenty of free parking. Huge inside, this place can handle crowds. Bartender was okay but not terribly helpful. Beers a little pricy, but not terrible. Of the four tried, they ranged from meh to outstanding. Did not try the food. Overall a decent stop.

Neat spot in the old Mill and there’s always at least an interesting seasonal on tap.

OK for what it is, sort of a berry burger place, but not worth going out of your way to get here.

Beautiful old buiilding located in a picturesque nook in the city of Ottawa. Ambiance is loud, but very alive feeling. All beers are their own. Selection is decent, and usually they have seasonals, so you have a choice of close to a dozen beers. Menu needs more greens. It’s like they are allergic to salads and vegetables in that place. Nothing on the menu is particularly note-worthy, but it is edible, if over priced. We go occassionally, but the place does not warrant the tag of "regular hangout" at all.

This place gets extra points for the beautiful location - Mill St. does good to collect all these historical old buildings. This one is better than the Distillery district flagship location in Toronto even. Beautiful site on Ottawa River overlooking Gatineau. Inside the stone building it’s a cool ambiance as well. Beers are typical Mill St. pedestrian stuff, possibly even less exciting than the Toronto location.

They usually have tons of their beers on tap (20 or so?) and have a fair offer on flights. I like their porters and stouts much more than their others, but it’s some of the better Ontario-made beer. Thought the wings were awesome too. They do free tours everyday and have a bottle shop connected.

Visited in December 2012. A beautiful ancestral stone building, nicely recycled here in a large brewpub. Varied food menu, but not really going away from the usual brewpub suspects. We did find what we ordered tasty enough though. Prices a bit on the steep side, but not scandalous. The tap selection seemed to me better than that of the two Toronto locations, so that was nice. The crowd, on a Sunday early afternoon consisted mostly of families and older groups coming for food perhaps more than for beer. Very modern looks inside save for the Stone walls, but the mixture between modern and old is well done. Not a place I would visit very often, but certainly a good addition to the improving Ottawa scene.
