76 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 15/20 jasonkucherawy (1) , | January 17, 2013 I’m a big fan of Mill Street’s beers, and attend their regular Brewmasters dinners throughout the year. The brewers love what they do, and their passion for making flavourful beers is evident. I find the prices for both the food and beer here a little overpriced, but I always have a good time here. | 84 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 AGAquino (50) San Juan, Puerto Rico | November 28, 2012 Great selection, nice food, and friendly wait staff. | 70 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 jercraigs (234) Toronto, Ontario | August 30, 2012 We have been here a number of times now. The beers are generally decent, but have declined slightly in quality from their prime a couple of years ago. The atmosphere is quite nice and fits in nicely with the Distillery district. TV is generally unobtrusive but makes for a lively spot to watch a big game. The high top seating area in front of the bar can get very crowded, and a bit claustrophobic if like me you don’t like sitting so close to your neighbours. The booths and tables are nicer. The food is generally pretty good, prices range from reasonable to pricey. Generally speaking its pub grub with dreams of being fancier than it ends up being. I like it, but it’s hard to describe – the food often feels like something that was aiming to be fantastic, and ends up just being good. Staff is generally friendly and attentive. Their beer knowledge varies from lots to very little. If you are coming from out of town to see the distillery, it is well worth a stop for lunch and some drinks. If you have limited time in town, there are other beer bars closer to downtown that should be your priorities. | 84 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 18/20 Strange Brew (3) Toronto, Ontario | July 30, 2012 Love pretty much all the beers on offer at the pub, particularly the seasonals. Food is very good, too, with some creative offerings. It can be a little loud, but it’s fine if you’re coming for a good time with friends. A good time in a pretty setting in the Distillery District. | 56 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD 2/10 VALUE 4/10 OVERALL 10/20 yqw14 (1) Toronto, Ontario | June 10, 2012 I went to Mill Street Brewpub with a group of 15. It was Thursday 3pm, so there were not many people. First, they refuse to sit us in one table. After my request, they were able to arrange a long table for us. Then, the waitress does not remember very well what beer they have on draught or in bottles. The food was okay, but later on several people from our group who had the burger went home feeling very very sick. Both beer and food are overpriced. I’m not going back any time soon. | 74 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 16/20 rob6239 (33) Ontario | June 4, 2012 A good busy restaurant at the brewpub. The food and service are both great but it seems to thrive on that rather than the beer. | 64 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 14/20 Radek Kliber (165) Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Poland | December 23, 2011 Not bad for big tourist orineted place. Nice location good beer selectio with one or two seasonals. Food is basic but well made. Service is hit and miss (often overworked) | 60 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 5/10 VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 12/20 PatIrish (13) Toronto, Ontario | December 20, 2011 Very straight forward pedestrian food & beer. Had the vanilla porter on draught, tasted young and immature. Perhaps I just like full bodied, robust porters...? Nothing special. | 80 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 4/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 rejtable (58) Ontario | October 6, 2011 What a grea spot. Packed on a Wednesday night. Great food, great beer. Nothing to complain about at all! | 70 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 14/20 kseecs16 (194) Naperville, Illinois | July 15, 2011 Really cool big building with nice outdoor seating areas. Food is decent, but the beers I sampled all seemed middle of the road. Nothing too flavorful or unique. Service was quick and friendly, definitely worth a visit. |
