78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 12/20 Phatdog1 (2) Brentwood, New Hampshire | February 24, 2013 Received an email about $5 off growler refills, since I was going to be passing through town, I figured why pass that deal up?! This is my second time here. Started with a sample box, literally a small wooden box with dividers for 6 sample glasses. Sample glasses are a bit tiny for my liking, approximately 2 oz pour. 15 beers on tap, including their Cafe Raz Stout (cask conditioned). Good sized menu covering all the basic pub fare, including a few surprises and specials. All seemed very reasonably priced. I love this section of Manch and the Mill look suits this place perfectly. | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 15/20 BVery (323) Burnsville, Minnesota | July 9, 2012 Visited here on July 9, 2012. Very cool brewpub - old building, lots of atmosphere. 18 taps, flights available. Nice TV’s with sports on. Great spot. | 70 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 13/20 LilBeerDoctor (208) Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania | May 14, 2011 Stopped by on a Wednesday afternoon for lunch. This was an interesting place in the old mills section of Manchester (lots of old brick mill buildings). They have an interesting set up where there is a regular bar, then there is a long bar behind that where people can sit on either side (like a very long table, but it has a bar-esque feel to it). They offer a large number of taps (~12) with some interesting styles ("lambic", mild, a couple IPAs). Overall the beer was pretty good, the food was your basic pub fare. Apparently there are very cheap happy hour prices (wish I’d known that! Although it looks like a good thing that I missed the music entertainment...). Overall, a cool stop and one I’d go back to. | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 16/20 Goodgrief (27) Middletown, Delaware | April 17, 2011 Visited this place once when I got stuck in Manchester overnight due to weather. There were a good number of tap choices available. The beers were average to slightly above average, but there was a pretty wide variety of choices across styles, so that’s good. The food and specials were so cheap that I’m not sure how they turn a profit. Standard pub fare food, but pretty tasty. I had a nice bowl of chili and a few beers and got out for like $18. Pretty amazing. | 68 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 3/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 13/20 johnnnniee (64) Bedford, New Hampshire | February 18, 2011 2/12/2011
Milly’s is weird! I want to say that their is a decent brewpub in town, and sometimes there is. Other times I go here and can’t understand why they would serve that to customers. The staff is normally friendly and attentive. The food is usually decent for standard pub fare. The best deal is weekdays between 4 and 7 when appetizers are half price and normal drafts are 1 or 2 dollars. Weekend nights you will normally incur a cover charge and their will be a loud band.

Milly’s is not far from on the way home from work for me. Like some of the previous posters have said this place is in a basement, its dimly lit and hearkens back to a time in my past. The beer makes up for those short comings and then some. They have a good selection of regular brews, and always have more that a couple of seasonals or limited edition brew. Every once in a while you’ll get to try one of their cask conditioned brews. Get there between 4 and 7 and the drafts are a buck with half price appetizers. If you want to take some home they will sell you a growler.
| 70 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 12/20 AirForceHops (77) Epping, New Hampshire | January 16, 2011 Do NOT follow the Google maps directions, it will not get you there. The food was really good. I had the Tasha’s Red Tail steaks tips, my friends had burgers and chicken tenders. The service was ok and very friendly, considering the amount of tables they had to wait on.They have 18 taps and 1 cask. I tried a sampler of the brews. You get 6 styles in 3 oz. shot glasses. Three of them where above average with the other three being standard. They also have about 6 flat screen Tv’s, so you can catch a sporting event in here as well. I will go back in the summer to get the other seasonal brews they don’t have in the winter. | 64 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 13/20 puboflyons (64) Allenstown, New Hampshire | June 19, 2010 There have been several restaurants at this location but Milly’s seems to have hit a chord. Located under a bridge in a renovated 19th century mill building, Milly’s has the aura of a dive but they serve up good food and pretty good beer. Typical pub fare such as burgers, sandwiches, nachos, ribs, and the like, which are cooked the way you like them. The prices are reasonable. You can buy a sampler of their brews if you are not sure what you want to try. Friendly wait staff. They experiment with beer styles and the beers are likeable but not necessarily extraordinary. You can catch live entertainment. They are supportive of local musicians and have hosted "Battle of the Bands" events. | 68 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 12/20 Lubiere (412) Ottawa, Ontario | April 17, 2010 A huge cave of a brewpub with some great pub grub. Burgers are tasty here and the menu is not expansive. Early 20th Century industrial building showing the basement arches, very nice and quaint. Beers were mainly OK with some weird ones. 6.50$ for 6 samll 3 on samplers. A great deal on happy hour, with 1$ pints and half price appetizers. | 60 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 13/20 Sammy (464) Toronto, Ontario | July 15, 2009 A bit hard to find for a small city, do not follow the Google maps direction, rather we went one street after West Bridge and then turned South. Place is in a basement and the environment is a lot different than the more social and upscale Strange Brew. But it is a brewpub and they try to fill every tap. A number of very drunk though passive people as well as families here for a late afternoon. Lots of tables, this is primarily a band place. The brewmaster alone knew the beers, its the fifth one inside of a year, but he certainly knew his stuff. I can see him opening his own place sometime. The feature for me was the Hoplicious, like a 1.5X IPA. Guest taps would be a good idea, and perhaps lead to rationalizing the product line. | 52 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 6/15 FOOD 4/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 11/20 halfonit (68) Fall River, Massachusetts | June 6, 2009 Not too bad of a place to get a good brew. But if you’re a band and want to get a gig here, I can honestly tell you that this place has the absolute worst sound system that I have ever heard. And that’s not the only bad thing about this place. If this place ever has any type charity that is for the troops or anything like that, they keep a huge amount amount and then donate about 10% to the troops overseas. Geez thanks so much Milly’s, you keep holding and spending all that money that Americans are dying for and we’ll keep protecting you from all those people that you want to evict so that you can make a profit through this tough time. |
