Surprisingly large place in walkable distance from the city center. Quite crowded, but the service was quite okay and the beers likewise. Three different beers and all of them were quite decent. Not a favourite place, but well worth a visit.

Introduced to this place by Marko, thanks. Big, busy space, well appointed for a large scale operation in this part of the world. Food looked decent, but typical. Two house beers (one of which was being brewed when we walked in, which was nice to smell), plus one ’mix’ of the two (referred to as the ’tamno’ or dark beer). Bad music and tv, nothing special or particularly beer-loving going on here. Reminds me of so many brew pubs in this vein around the world. Nice to see in Zagreb but nothing special

A stock standard fit out for this brewpub and it holds little charm. Beers are average and the food is decent fare. Staff are no-fuss but it can be difficult to get served as it gets very busy here. Also its popular with the bus loads of tourist groups. It warrants at least a quick visit.

busy scene, large halls filled with tourists. food was decent enough, 2-3 beers available, typical svetlo, crno and tamno with the tamno being the mix. easy to find and easy to get to from public transit. food and beer prices affordable for americans but still high compared to other places.

Found this place on accident and have returned to Zagreb just to visit Zlatno. The beer is good, cheap, and cold. Croatia’s women however are not. The location is central to several Universitys. So it’s a great place to meet up.

A big brewpub, with several separate rooms perfect for private parties. Large tables, big thick chairs, minimalistic decoration in the right way, makes it very pleasant. When entering you can see the brew equipment, I think only for exposing. Service is fine, friendly, they are fast, well they have to be at such a place... Selection, well, only 3 their beers, which is actually normal for a brewpub. There is lot of food, as this is restaurant. Good food, you can choose for everybody. I didn’t eat those two times I’ve been there this weekend, but two years before had some traditional Zagreb meals, they were very good. Great place.

I had never been to the old Medvegrad brewpub and this was my first Croatian brewpub. I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, it is a large, modern brewpub that is similar to many others. However, I liked it. I thought the Zlatno had a warm atmosphere. There were lots of people during lunch hours and most seemed happy. It is a good place for large parties, too. There is space outdoors and the inside is sprawling. Service was very good! We tried all three on-tap offerings. Not mind-blowing but drinkable and fresh. The darkest one was my favorite. The food was excellent: we got a huge platter of side dishes and some grilled squid, and everything was delicious. Zagreb is a great city, and if/when I am there again I will return to Zlatno.

A rather bland-looking, very large restaurant-first, brewpub-second pub that lacks a bit of decoration. Only pale walls and big, heavy brown tables fail to push you to want to stay more than an hour or so. Apparently rather variable beers as well and not the most efficient service from the section we were in.
