Cool brew pub near the University of Minnesota campus. House beers were excellent; 7 on tap the day I visited. Two of them were also available as cask beers. Had soup and a salad that were pretty standard. Always look forward to going back when I visit Minne.

AMBIANCE: Nice place to have lunch. Not very smokey and a good amount of space. Classic brewpub feel to it, similar to Great Dane in downtown Madison. SERVICE: Good, although they have several times sold me outdated growlers. SELECTION: Solid, with regular rotations. Its a good idea to subscribe to their email list as this is more updated than the website. FOOD: Walleye sandwich was good, although the Pulled Pork was not. OVERALL: Solid place with some good regulars on tap and a few gems on occassion. I visit each time I visit family in the cities.

Nice place. I love non-smoking establishments. I had excellent service from the lady barkeeps but horrible service from the guy when we went back that night. He should be fired for not being able to do his job at all. I love the selection even though not all of it is good. Itís nice to be able to sample many different styles. The food is pretty average bar good but large quantities. Get the Chili Cheese Fries!

Great beer and a nice place, the non smoking is great and the brewer was happy to talk to us. I had some issues w/ our night bartender being worthless though.

First place Iíve rated. Easily is a must visit if you are in Minneapolis. Located in Seven Corners between the U of M and close to the Metrodome and downtown. Makes many high ranked beers and continually breaks out new seasonal brews. Never seems to disappoint. The Masala Mama IPA is one of the best beers Iíve ever tasted!

There are some things in life Iíll never be able to figure out...garden gnomes...techno music...Ben & J. Lo....why I put off visiting this fine brewpub for 5 years...
Now that Iíve seen the light, I check in here once or twice a week, and regular as clockwork when they have burger-&-a-pint (cask not included) for only $5. And what pints, too! Always 5 sturdy standbys, plus up to 3 seasonals and 2 on cask. Iíve rarely been disappointed by any of their beers, (just had a Black H20 Oatmeal Stout not 15 minutes ago...yum...), but must recommend the Masala Mama IPA highly for all hopheads. The Scotch and Golden Ale are also must-tryís.
The food here is just good enough, and sometimes very excellent, but youíre not coming for the food, are you?
Service, excellent, and quite knowledgeable on the beers. Plenty spacious, with a long bar, plenty of tables, ample room in the back, a pool table, plus patio seating in summer, with plenty to gaze at in this college neighborhood.
I would urge you to avoid the late nights if you have any aversion to smoke, cacophonous chatter, and the twittering and buzzing of barely-legal co-eds getting they drink on.

They had about 7 different beers while I was there with the Masala Mama on cask too. Food was decent and the service good. A nice brewpub that makes some good beers.

Masala Mama. I could just repeat that for an entire review and it should be enough to convince people to go. Nice selection and a big sampler platter, and really enjoyed a number of their beers. Food-wise, good sandwiches (OK, good "sandwich", Iíve only been there once). Pleasant and friendly wait staff, typical nice bar-restaurant ambience, in a cool area and all. That being said, Masala Mama Masala Mama Masala Mama Masala Mama Masala Mama Masala Mama.

Beautiful bar with high, tin ceiling. Windows overlook the "7 corners" area of Minneapolis. Beer was above average with a couple standouts-- the Czar Jack made my trip. Also the Masala Mama from the cask was excellent. Food was very good. Walleye sandwich with jalepeno tartar sauce was large and good. Unbelievable appetizer was Southwestern Egg Rolls. Had a great time, barkeep was knowledgeable and fun to talk to. Went on a slow Sunday night and it was a good call. Must go.
