On a hot evening, I make it over to Town Hall. Fans are blowing and itís quite humid, but Iím here for the beer. Due to some construction work, only three beers of theirs were available - the Centennial IPA on draught and cask, and Masala Mama. The Centennial was quite enjoyable, though I missed the window to buy a growler since it was after 10:00 p.m. I would have liked to had many more Town Hall brewed beers, but there were no more to be had. Still a worthwhile trip though.

Stopped in on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch. Didnít see anywhere to park close so we ended up in a metered parking lot a few blocks away. Decent enough part of town pretty close to a train stop. At about 2 or 3 pm there wasnít much of a crowd and service was decent. I donít know what the deal was, but they didnít have hardly anything of their own on draft. I was able to try a nice barrel aged barley wine, but the beer I came here for, Masala Mama, was not available. They also would not do samplers, so I got to try one of their beers. That was a total let down. I think this is the only brewery Iíve ever been to that didnít allow samplers. Very odd. The food was good. I had walleye fish tacos. Pricing was decent. For two beers and two lunch entrees it was around $35.

Wasnít expecting to make it here, on my most recent visit, which is a good thing, because I was pleasantly surprised. Apparently, this just re-opened. The place looks great: high ceilings, exposed brick, etc. Has a relaxed feel to it, for sure. Service was prompt, and attentive. With that being said, the food was just good, to pretty good. The beer, however, was great. They a barrel release deal going on the week I was there so I was able to get a Mahattan draught, and a growler of the Buffalo Bock to go. Spectacular beer, and service + pretty good food = an awesome place. Definitely a must-stop while in Minnesota.

I really like this place. Never rated it and they just opened, so I figured -what the heck! Beers are awesome - no argument there. The service was better before they closed for 3 months during their renovation. Sat for 10 minutes before I got my first beer. Thats bad. Their food is above average bar food, but now served on a metallic plate that is still making my teeth hurt - what the hell guys? $1.25 for a side salad to replace fries was fine before - you actually got a nice sized salad. Now, its 4 bites and gone.
Edit: Getting better here.

I love this place. I spend way too much time here, but not as much as some. Top notch beer, always something different with interesting infusions. Food is awesome and staff is amazing, friendly, and knowledgeable. Patio rocks in the summer. I canít say enough good things, a Minneapolis must!

Visited on my first evening in Minneapolis, which was a Sunday night. The place was pretty quiet but I got good service and some food as well as some beer. I was a bit surprised by the lack of beer that I hadnt tried before considering I had never been here. That said the West Bank Pale was really good in my opinion. Will be back for RBSG.

Visited a couple of different times. Both times, theyíve had their 5 main beers and also around 6-7 seasonal/rotational beers. Iíve been quite impressed rotational beers, as well as their main lineup. They offer a sampler tray for the main lineup and a separate one for the seasonal/rotational beers. I look forward to coming back here more in the future to try their new beers.
