64 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 12/20 downender (227) Bristol, England | September 19, 2009 Visited on 19/09/09. All cask ales on offer were Welsh, a mix of Vale of Glamorgan, Tomos W, Otley and Bullmastiff. Service was efficient and the pub was clean and tidy. Good. | 66 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 14/20 SaintMatty (151) Uppsala, Sweden | September 1, 2008 A welcoming pub which resembles a Harvester in some ways. Friendly service and 4 different cask beers (all Welsh on my visit) and some Welsh bottled ciders. Very comfortable and I would recommend this pub to any beer lover visiting Cardiff. | 64 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD 5/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 14/20 mowerbyte (22) Bristol, England | August 3, 2008 Quirky place on the edge of a park not far from the River Taff. Nice balance of pub/restaurant atmosphere. As we were new to Wales, had to try the laverbread for the first time, went down well with a pint of mild. | 54 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 12/20 Gazza (160) Worcester, England | June 4, 2007 Ostensibly a Welsh-speaking pub but I’ve never heard Cymraig in there yet! Serves a few cask ales but the highspot is usually the local real ale from either Vale of Glamorgan, Dobbins & Jackson or other local micro. Not the best pub, but just around the corner from the Cayo so it’s two for the price of one! |
