Super cool building that used to be a movie theater. Nice staff. More of a restaurant than a beer bar but they have an overwhelming tap list of all grade A beer. The food was really good but the value score is for the beer cuz nothing is over $6.50 including Pliny and Victory at Sea. Cool. I loved my visit and I gave extra marks for great looking girls everywhere. Parking sucks, welcome to LA.

Absolutely terrific draft list, a destination. The bartenders know their way down the list, the servers somewhat less so. Ultimately a few details hold the place back: It’s uncommonly noisy. The piped-in music is almost laughably bad and unnecessary. And the food is pretty atrocious. But that draft list.... swoon.

Nice place - spacious and interesting. Nice draft selection, staff were friendly and somewhat knowledgeable, and managers were actively working with newbie staff to educate them. Parking was available on nearby streets.

Good food. A lot of vegetarian options. Large beer list. The waitress was a little slow and forgot to ask if my girlfriend sitting in front of me wanted something to drink. We had to call her a second time because she disappeared so fast :-)

Lots of California IPA’s, maybe too many. Food was solid and service was good. Cool building, maybe too cool for me.

I was expecting this to be more hipster than it was. Not too bad actually. The service was friendly too and let us try a few things before ordering. I got a glass of Union Jack and got samples of the Muis and Papa Was a Rollin Stonefruit.I ordered the burger with the shredded spare rib on it. Pretty nice place over all, would return if in the area.

I have no idea why this is the top rated place in LA. The tap list is solid and staff will give you up to four tiny (one ounce samples). But no actual taster flights are available, full pours only. The pizza was so-so, but I should have had the burgers, they looked very good. Nice enough place, just not sure it’s numero uno.

Place rating #400. On Yelp, this bar has an ambiance of "hipster". That seemed a bit farfetched, but upon entering this place my wife and I were shocked by the amount of fedoras and plaid shirts. The clientele was exclusively young adults. Noise level was high. Wait was going to be 20+ minutes but we could eat at the bar. Went to the bar and had very quick service. The food was top notch- spicy green beans and the flatbread pizzas were dope. Beer list was extensive including a major emphasis on California beers. Hardly any non-CA beers on tap. Tasting flights NOT AVAILABLE, was a major pet peeve. They had a set tasting flight that including 4 beers, 3 I had never had. So I got that for $12. Unfortunately one had kicked so I got to pick my own replacement. Got my flight and one of the offerings was normal Stone IPA. I inquired and turns out that another beer from the only available pre-set flight had also kicked but was secretly not mentioned to anyone with Stone IPA taking its place. I’m no rocket scientist, but given the ultra hipster vibe here and huge hard-on for obscure CA local beers you would naively assume that people here have had Stone IPA. They would not need to have a sampler of it in a flight. So that was annoying. Everything else was fantastic. Friday night just be careful...we sat next to the planet’s most obnoxiously loud, attention seeking ditz girl who did not shut the fuck up for at least 45 minutes. Her date had committed suicide by the time we left. R.I.P.

Great seelction of California beers of all styles but loads of hoppy beers. Reasonable prices, good glassware, cool staff. Fun and lively location. More girls than most beer bars. I like that.

Awesome place, certainly the best in LA, with 72 taps of mostly Californian beers. My visit saw loads of IPAs/IIPAs that I’d never had before. Prices are quite reasonable except for the pricy samplers. Service was very good and the atmosphere was very pleasant. A must-visit place when in LA. Highly recommended.
